Keppel Lookout

Keppel Lookout has a great view of Marysville and the mountains beyond. The viewing platform is nicely designed and you may have it entirely to yourself, especially on a weekday.

The lookout is accessible by car but the drive on the unsealed road is hairy in places, especially if you're in a sedan or a small car. Go slow and be prepared for your vehicle to get dusty. But is the view worth it? I think so.

Great views, I would recommend 4wd or AWD vehicles, 2wd might get stuck.

Pretty easy drive on gravel for about 10 minutes but the view is worth it plus picnic table is provided for lunch with a view

It is a beautiful and peaceful place to absorb the magnificent view. Some rocks to sit on, and only low bushes around, so the view is not obscured. There's also a large viewing platform if you prefer flatter surfaces. Great for watching the sun dip behind the mountain ranges.

An incredible view, with an easy drive to get there.

Great place to get a view of Marysville and the surrounding valley. It's a dirt road to get up to the viewing platform but worth the drive. Be aware as we found out trees can come over the road and if so there is no phone reception. So be prepared for anything.

A short walk from the car park. The road is unsealed with few big potholes, something to be mindful of, especially when travelling dusk/dawn. Overall, Amazing lookout !

So easy to get to the lookout from the car park. If you're adventurous, you can also walk from Steavenson falls. We just went through the car park & it's just right there - amazing view!

Spectacular views. Must visit at sunset if you get the chance. There is a neat gravel road to reach here.

A lovely spot to look out across Marysville to the Cathedral ranges. There is a hiking trail from down in Marysville to the top, or you can drive up to the top in 10mins. The viewing platform is about 50m from the carpark with a single picnic table for use. When there is a low down (500m) snow fall you can get some snow up here too.

Easy short drive on good quality unmade road from Marysville. Parking could be limited if busy. One picnic table, no toilets.

Amazing walk! It takes roughly about 2.5-3 hours to get to the lookout and back. Watch out for snakes though! We saw a couple of them on the way there and back, and I believe they are the dangerous ones (coloured belly).

A bit of a steep climb toward the lookout if hiking from Marysville or Steavensons falls. Keep hydrated, leave plenty of time, watch for bull ants and enjoy the view. Or you can make the 6 minute drive. Either way, enjoy!

Not crowded at all, unlike other spots scenic spots.

You can’t see the sun setting completely but still a great place to be at golden hours.

We drove on a dirt road to the lookout. Please drive slowly because there are sharp bends on this narrow dirt road. There are potholes on certain stretches of the road. Exercise caution. View is fantastic.

Your vehicle will get dusty if you drive here but it's a great lookout!

There was hail and snow but my, was it beautiful up there! Great spot. The drive up is not the best in the wet, watch out for downed trees.

Fantastic views over Marysville and surrounding areas. Just a short drive from Marysville on what is an unsealed road, suits all cars. Viewing platform is less than 50 m from the car park.
