HOYTS Melbourne Central

I had a wonderful experience at HOYT. The place was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Despite English not being my first language and facing challenges in communication, Dominick and Charles at the store went above and beyond to assist me. Their patience and willingness to help were truly commendable. I am grateful for their exceptional customer service and would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to them. Highly recommended. 😊

Well that was a surprise. Haven’t been there before but so glad we made the trip. Love how you can buy tickets and arrange food at the self serve checkout. Saves so much time. Plus there’s a bar. How fabulous is that! Can take a drink with you into the movie or have a relaxing one in the bar area beforehand. Also loved the ability to choose your seats when buying tickets. No hassle at all. (We don’t have any of this where We come from sadly)

Xtremescreen pretty awesome. Large cinema with plenty of of leg room and comfortable seat. Not recliner (cinema 10).

Legitimately one of the best movie experiences I've had. Went to Lux as an impromptu date with my partner and it was amazing.
The service was amazing - I have an obscure allergy and I was checked in on twice by staff to make sure I'd be safe. The food itself is excellent, and the staff are amazing - would like to personally shout out to Aaron who took care of us, including when I left my cardigan in the lounge. Would absolutely recommend Hoyts MC to anyone.

Hoyts is an amazing experience for movie fans if any kind, with the standard seating including features like fully reclining seats, soft fabric, and cup holders that you would usually only find in gold class. But aside from that, Hoyt’s lux is a jaw dropping experience here, with complimentary popcorn and drinks, a fully stacked menu, a red carpet to the lux lounge, nice, quick, and uniformed service at the touch of a button, freshly cooked food, and much more! I will definitely be returning here to watch dune 2.

I left my wallet in the cinema, employee Sai was super genuine and full of help in retrieving it back. If I could drop a 10 star review i definitely would for all the honesty this cinema has to its customers. Would much recommend this cinema.

We had an amazing time watching Ghostbusters Frozen Empire in the Lux cinema.
Excellent customer service provided by Aaron and Angel ! Our first time using Lux after predominantly frequenting Gold Class and will definitely return. Easy transport to Melbourne Central Station then up the escalators.

Conveniently located in Melbourne central with large screens. The drinks are free to refill too. The Xtreme screen is probably the next big screen if you can't get tickets to watch your favourite movie in IMAX.

We got there a little early so there were no lines, he person doing popcorn was like Tom Cruise in Cocktail - very entertaining.

A good standard Hoyts cinema, easy to get to inside Melbourne central shopping centre. Easiest to enter from Latrobe St, then use the esculators to get to the cinema entrance. Comfortable chairs and snacks, drinks available.

I love booking the HOYTS LUX tickets, as it gives me a unique overall experience away from the crowd and queues.

The cinema comes with its own lounge and a gourmet menu for food & drinks. You can order at the bar before heading to the cinema, and they will deliver it to your seats. The recliner seats have easy-to-use controls and an attached wooden table to enjoy snacks and beverages.

They provide complimentary popcorn & water.

Definitely worth the price.

Movie experience: Xtreme room at I-row seat.

The extra price to get an Xtreme room is worth it for certain movies. The hall is more spacious, the visuals are clearer and bigger, and the sound is also higher quality.

At I-row, I could comfortably see the entire screen without needing to strain my neck. Although I would highly suggest going back a couple rows for anyone who is tall.

Friendly staff, convenient location and easy access. The main downside though is that there are just standard seats and Lux unlike some other Hoyts branches where there are boxed and better seats at the same standard seat pricing.

Saw the movie in a mid tier cinema which was massive and well equipped lending to a great movie experience.

Took a while to find the cinema....keep going up the elevators....however the trip up was great the way the museum within reaches up to the glass roof is amazing, as is the clock that opens every hour and I've always been a big fan of R.M.Williams....still wearing the boots I bought in Sydney 20 + years ago

I miss the old days where EVERYONE went to the theatre and I love going to the cinemas at Melbourne central in Melbourne. Gorgeous screens, comfortable seating and they always have such lively staff! I saw Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny recently with my 8 year old, and it was just a great film and the theatre made me realise... this is what we have to do! This is what the Hollywood experience is all about! Big screens! Great sound! A fantastic and pleasant experience for people of all ages. Visit these guys in Melbourne Central, kick back and enjoy a movie! You’ll love it!
