West Ryde Library

Good library located within 5 mins walk of the train station. It’s relatively quiet but there aren’t a huge amount of spaces to study (usually the desks get taken pretty quickly). The facilities are good and staff that I have interacted with have been friendly :)

This is a great library. The staff are friendly and helpful, very clean toilets, a quiet atmosphere for those who wish to study. The childrens’ area is well equiped.

Very handy to be able to park at West Ryde Marketplace. No complaints from me at all!

There are only a few sacred places on this earth with propels creativity, focus and learning in me and west Ryde library is just one those special places. What is there to not like about it ? It’s never too crowded, a separate section for little humans so that they can leave the normal humans to do their thing. There are desks, like so many of them, and then different types of couches. You can always find that corner where you want to station yourself for a few hours easily. The internet is awesome, there is a meeting room, microscope, dvds and soooo many interesting things. I can just go on and on about it. Books in English and various other languages. Well it’s a library at the end of the day but offers so much more.

How good is this library!

I have never used this facility until I have children. The first time I came here it was for a 0-2 years baby activity and the staff was so friendly. I then applied for a library card and the staff at the desk was equally friendly and was able to assist me immediately, and I borrowed some books home on the same day. This is an extremely family friendly library. There is a large children area on the right hand side of the library and there is a larger area on the left hand side for quiet study.

I don't know why people here like to complain that this library is noisy. On most days there are minimal children here anyway so this library is very quiet. Maybe people just don't know how to walk to the other side of the library (away from the children area). I have studied two postgraduate degrees so I know what a library should be like, and I think this library is more than sufficient for people to do quiet studies.

Don't even get me started on the location - it is just fantastic. Close to the train station and even closer to the West Ryde Marketplace carpark (2 hours free parking). I am very impressed and cannot recommend this library enough.

Great facilities,wide variety of books,children’s section,printer,toilets,computers and really good studying tables. The staff are really friendly and there are generally no problems within the library that I can think of or that I know off.

one of the coolest library in Sydney, the children area and the study place is located seperately inside which is good to focus.
children area is so developed, Only west ryde libray has microscopes science toy. I find it so interesting even not as a child

Sufficient space for study. Overall quiet. Perfect location. But why does the 'Quiet study room' located beside the children's area? You know, it won't be quiet there at all...

Lovely, large and quiet. Read some words in a book. They may not make you smarter, but they will make the author happy.

Libraries are the cornerstone of an educated and informed populace. This, like any library, is fundamental to democratic society. I will be going here again.
