I thought we had missed the winery when we arrived, and you will too. But keep walking to the side of the shed, ring the bell and wait two minutes to see a 4wheeler coming your way. The doors are opened to a humble cellar door with delicious wine! We bought 3 bottles of the port.

Rustic wine shed off the beaten track. We arrived on a rainy day, the place looked closed but I rang the bell and Rick arrived and opened up. There are 3 options, 2017 Shiraz, Tawny Port and white port. All 3 are delicious. Rick the wine maker readily answered any questions. A great experience. 5 stars.

A quiet spot, ring the bell and Fred will come to let you in for a tasting. Fred is lovely and makes beautiful wine and port. Ask him to turn on his radio!

There is 1 guy, there are 3 wines, there is 1 price, and that is ALL you need. The owner/winemaker/viticulturist/distiller/pilot, Rick, is a fantastic person who has been doing this for over 40 years, always the most old fashioned and natural ways possible. Even distills his own spirit for the fortifieds (more than I can say for any of the overly dressed up big money places in the area). It might seem strange when you first arrive, but Just ring the bell on the building next to the car park, and hell come on his ATV in a split second and make you feel right at home. A breath of fresh air and very unique in the area. Best port style wines I tried there too. By far the most interesting and best experience I had in the valley.

Our first stop out of Melbourne post lockdown, and we couldn't have made a better choice! Rick is a true Renaissance man (our visit interrupted his vintage radio club) who is knowledgeable, helpful, and gracious. There are no bells and whistles, but exceptional wine and port, plus EV charging if you need it!

Lovely gentleman who has been here since 1971 and built the cellar door himself. Limited variety and basic set up but of very high quality. Excellent cab sauv, old white port and very old tawny port (30 yo, bought two bottles). Worth the visit to see the 100 year old barrels and drive down the country lane.

Some of the best wines I have tasted! I have been visiting Rick's cellars for decades and his ports get better every year. There is nothing fancy about the set up; just good quality wines.

Owner of the winery Mr. Rick Moris is very genuine. He was very patient to explain us about the process, ageing, alcohol levels and everything we asked. Had a productive time around 45mins. Thanks Rick.

If you haven't visited this winery and tasted it's Port you are missing the best of the best. All wines are of the highest quality and chemical-free.

We visited Markwood Estate during the holidays. They make lovely tawny/port! Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting.

My friends and I paid this fantastic place today. The wines we sampled were delightful this included the ports.

Would have loved to try the wines, went to the place and rang the bell as instructed. No response. We rang again and looked around the place. No luck! What a shame. We moved on to Milawa for wine and cheese.
