A stunning farm stay experience, beautiful cosy accommodation surrounded by gorgeous gardens, and breathtaking mountain views. Love the fire pit each night looking out across the paddocks, and such warm country hospitality!

Beautiful location, near Cressy - friendly and helpful family, peacocks in the garden, paddocks with view over the Tiers, lambs in spring! Lovely 1 bedroom apartment adjoining the main house (but very private). LOVED IT. Will go back soon :-). Margit and Henry are great hosts. p.s. their Chatsworth property is elegantly appointed for groups.

Love the place Margit created, you feel at home as soon as you drive into the property. The bed was comfy, specious living room with a fireplace that kept us warm and a very spacious bathroom.
My partner and I can’t wait to go back !
Thanks Margit for making us feel at home on our holiday

We had the pleasure to stay at Cressy House Estate Farm Stay, and can't describe the place enough in words!
Fantastic surroundings, beautiful and spacious apartment, which is furnished in the coziest country style, which fits perfectly with the old, beautiful house! There are chickens, ducks, guinea fowls, chickens, horses, dogs, peacocks and thousands of sheep that give children and adults great pleasure!
The view of the mountains and agriculture is wonderful! And Margit and Henry and their lovely boys are so sweet and welcoming! Margits homemade jam and honey top it all off!
THANKS for a amazing stay!!

Amazing in every way...from the moment you turn into the gate and begin the drive down the driveway, walk onto the verandah, enter the gorgeous accommodation you know you are going to enjoy your stay. It is the perfect haven to unwind and relax. It is inviting, comfortable and feels like home with home-made products, fresh bread, fresh farm eggs and the honey is amazing...the little details by Margit are so thoughtful.
You are invited to enjoy the property, walking through the paddocks you will a seat under the trees to sit, relax and enjoy the views. Enjoy your coffee on the verandah while the 2 peacocks strut on by. We will be visiting again

My husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding and could not have fallen more in love with Cressy House. It has such a beautiful charm and has so many thoughtful touches, not to mention the incredible farm views every way you look. Margit was incredibly accommodating both to us and also to my family who stayed at her other home Chatsworth House - after staying there, they are convinced they want to move to country Tasmania. I could not speak more highly of both Cressy House and Chatsworth House. Do not hesitate in booking!

We deliberately adjusted our itinerary to experience a stay in this fabulous house and it was by far one of the best decisions ever. Margit and Henry were very hospitable and there were loads to do on the property that we hardly left. Beautiful house, nice touches on the interior design and so was the amenities pack that had bread, eggs, juice + milk to get us started even though Longford had a well stocked IGA. The surrounding area was also an interesting place to explore - including the several world heritage estates and townships that still looked like the 1800s. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had stayed longer. We will be back some time. Thanks Margit once again for having us around.

Just stay here! Everything about Cressy House is perfect. The home itself is wonderfully decorated and incredibly comfortable. The breakfast food is delicious and there are ample goodies from the garden like apples and fresh tomatoes. To top it off, Margit, Henry, and family are incredible hosts and you will not want to leave. My only hesitation to add this review is that I want to be sure I can get the dates I want the next time we stay here. If you have children, it will be an absolutely wonderful experience for your whole family. Can't say enough about this place except we can't wait to come back.

I won’t forget my stay at Cressy House in a hurry. Complete comfort and tranquillity on a working farm. I couldn’t help but sneak an apple to one of the friendly horses. The farm eggs and local produce was delightful as were all the little added extras such as the honey (extracted from the properties own beehive’s). Yum!! Make sure you book an extra night just to simply stop and relax and have time for a deep bath and walk down to the river. This photo says it all! Well done and thank you Margit and Henry.

Our short stay at Cressy House Estate was so enjoyable and wish we could've stayed for longer! It was a true luxe farm stay experience with all the comforts of modern amenities. The fireplace was amazing and little touches throughout the house just made the stay even more enjoyable (e.g. the Google speakers to play music). The morning breakfast hamper was a nice touch and delicious.

The hosts were so kind to let us explore the grounds and interact with the animals. The horses were so friendly! The chooks were fun to look at through the kitchen windows.

It was an amazing experience and we hope to come back again one day! Thank you Margit and Henry!

Our stay at Cressy House was fantastic. The farm stay is elegant and spacious, and provides space and peace to relax and unwind. Cressy is also close to Cataract Gorge and Liffey Falls, which is great for people who enjoy scenic walks and hikes. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in Tasmania.

I honestly cannot fault this beautiful farm stay. The hosts are so helpful, the apartment is divine and has so many little personal touches.... The history, the animals, the scenery...I have travelled all over the world, but this little gem is right up there in my top 5 places to stay, will be back for sure!

A wonderful apartment on a beautiful and quiet farm. Our kids loved feeding the lambs and being on the trampoline with the three boys. It’s a pity we only booked one night.. there is definitely a lot to see and do for more than that. We’ll be back Margit ;).

If you like a comfortable farmstay with lovely hospitality, amazing rural Tasmanian northern midlands views and a plethora of trout fishing streams, rivers, lakes and lagoons, then you are in almost heaven. There are loads of other things to do in the nearby region too!

I stayed at Cressy House and absolutely loved the style of the interior as well as the historic outside buildings! The house gives you the greatest comfort and luxury and the outsides provide you with so many things to do throughout your stay! I loved the eggs provided from the chooks just outside the home as well as the tastiest honey also produced on the farm! I enjoyed a long walk on the farm and wondered throughout the gorgeous garden! Value for money and so much more! I highly recommend staying here and will tell all my friends about it!
