I recently brought a stunning bowl online from this shop. Unfortunately because it was quite a fragile item when it arrived one of the legs was broken off by no fault of the store. The lovely Catriona’s response was fast and she immediately processed my refund without me even having to ask for one. She even provided advice as to how I might be able to salvage the product. Incredible customer service! I will definitely purchase from Betty & Lola again in future.

Love this little gem of a store, a favourite of both mine & my daughters when we are visiting Willoughby. Staff are great & very helpful, we always go home with something we love & treasure. Oh and free gift wrapping is a major bonus too!

Would definitely not recommend buying online with Betty and Lola. They DO NOT ALLOW REFUNDS.

As a first time customer, I missed my chance to use the first order 10% discount (once the popup is closed upon opening the website, you cannot find the code again anywhere on the site, which I tried to do). After submitting my order, the code was then sent to me in a welcome email, however this was *after* already putting in my first order. I didn't want to miss out, so I contacted the store straight away (long before items were shipped) via the fill-in form on their site, no reply. I managed to get in contact via direct email and by phone with the owner Catriona - she would not honour the first time discount for me in the form of a partial refund. Alternatively, I asked if she could please just cancel the order, and I can resubmit it with the 'Welcome' discount included, but the owner would only allow a store credit -- which obviously doesn't solve the problem as I would still be out of pocket.

As a resolution, I was told I could use the 'Welcome' discount on my next purchase, but I never know if I will shop at a place again, so this isn't an ideal resolution for me (it all depends on my buying experience). THEN I found out my item was not in stock, and that they needed to order it from the manufacturer of the brand, and only once it arrived to them would they be able to send it on to me (this took quite some time). And THEN I found out that if I HAD used the 'Welcome' discount, I would NOT be entitled to an exchange, nor a refund, nor a store credit - it is considered final sale (is this even legal?). So if the size was wrong, or the colour wasn't as pictured, I would have been screwed. Which is all just fantastic especially for a first time customer.

I just got such 'we want to keep your money at any cost' type of vibe. I pity anyone who accidentally buys multiples of the same item or who makes any kind of mistake, because I can assure you, you won't be getting your money back.

As a result of the poor customer service, and complete unreliability for online buyers, I won't be purchasing again, and I will not be getting the advertised discount promised on the website. I'd rather purchase from boutiques who offer reasonable return policies.

I emailed the company to communicate this but haven’t received a reply - I googled a Summery Copagagen dress that’s been sold out and I’ve been trying to find - the search went to the Betty and Lola site with a photo of the dress. Consequently, I thought I was buying the dress. However, the store has featured the dress on its site for the sale of the top which is a completely different style …. Really disappointing and they now haven’t replied and don’t take refunds on sale items

This store has lots of great pieces but I have found the owners customer service lacking. She has a very rude and cold undertone and manner that is uncomfortable and insincere. The other women who work there are warm, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I wanted to return a jacket that was ill fitting. I had left voicemails and written her an email but ignored so so went into the store and was quickly told no refunds, instructions are on receipt which is fair but her approach and demeanour are truly awful

Despite interesting items that they have on display. The poor customer service and their arrogant approach is absaloutly discussing. Specifically if you are with your kids totally avoid this place.
