Dalziel Lodge

We had a lovely two night stay at Dalziel Lodge in February. We stayed in a family room (2 adults & 2 children), which was perfect for our short stay in Sydney. The room, toilets/showers and kitchen were all clean, as were the other common areas. Easy to get to the centre of the city by bus. An excellent option for a budget stay in Sydney.

We stayed in the Garden suite room at the Dalziel Lodge, and were absolutely pleased with the experience we had. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night, and the seamless check-in process made our arrival stress-free. The central location was perfect for our one-night visit to North Sydney.

I must commend the cleanliness of the room, which significantly contributed to our overall positive experience. Additionally, having a fully equipped kitchen was a game-changer, and the complimentary pancake shakers were a delightful surprise, adding a touch of warmth to our stay.

Thank you for providing such a welcoming and well-appointed accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Dalziel Lodge and look forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful building, nice location in a quiet street, easy to get to CBD. Stayed at the single room for 3 nights on 2nd floor. Room was lovely and enough space for 1 person. I arrived an hour early before check in time and the ladies let me in early (Thanks!). The only thing that needs improvement is the ladies shower keeps flooding and it floods to the toilet stalls.

My flight was in the evening and checkout time is quite early at 10 or 11 AM and there's no place where I can put my luggage. But that's okay as there are luggage storage in central station or airport :)

Perfect experience, lovely clean accommodation. The house is also very well located with various bus stations nearby. The price is also very attractive. I'd definitely recommend it!

I had the most amazing stay at Dalziel Lodge. From the checking-in to finding the room, everything was very smooth with the YouTube instructions videos. I stayed in the Garden Suite which was very convenient with the kitchenette. The room was so cosy and well furnished! Everything was very clean and the bed was 10/10 comfort. I highly recommend going to Ryo’s noodle for dinner, it’s right next to the hotel and was amazing! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing time in Sydney!!

Outstanding experience!
Me and my partner spent 2 nights at Dalziel Lodge and the whole experience was just amazing. The room was cozy and good value, the staff very friendly & the cleanliness a 10/10. We had some beautiful walks around the area, ate great food in surrounding cafés and restaurants and felt very relaxed when we checked out, since everything went smooth. We highly recommend Dalziel Lodge and will be back soon.

Staff were really helpful, even though we never met in person. Self check-in was smooth and made for a peaceful, quiet stay. Great access to busses from this location.

We stayed in the cosy garden studio apartment for 2 nights, and booked parking which was very convenient. Our room had everything we needed for our stay - comfortable bed, great shower, well equiped kitchen and very efficient air con and wifi. The room was also super clean and very quiet and private. There are lovely artworks throughout the building and we enjoyed the common areas in this beautifully restored historic house. There is a convenience store for all you need, hotel on the corner for meals and coffee shops all in short walking distance. We will happily stay here again and thank you to Paolo and the team for such a warm welcome.

Stayed in the cosy and charming Garden Studio. Great location & an affordable stay. Cafes a few doors up one way. Pub the other way... Short walk or uber into Crows Next.. Where a Plethora of dining options. Can't wait to get back and do some more exploring.

Check in was easy, and when we arrived, we found a warm personal message from the Lodge. That was very thoughtful!
We had a good night's sleep and the room had a wonderful "private" outdoor lounge area to sip a glass of wine in the warm evening.
The location is in a nice quiet area.
Would also recommend the Studio to anyone who's looking to stay longer or prefers to have more private time as it is equipped with fridge, microwave, tablewear etc.
We didn't have much time to explore the common areas in the main house, but it looked very cozy.
It was just such a good night for us, we hope to come back there soon.

A very good experience. The hotel is clean and cost-effective. On the afternoon of 28 July 2023, I met the most beautiful girl I have ever seen at the gate of the hotel. She is an Asian girl. But I didn't dare ask her for contact information. Very regretful now TT.

I'll give this 5 stars for what it is... a lodging house for short term or longer stays with shared bathrooms, kitchen, & laundry. Rooms were at an attractive price, and clean with towels provided, a working air-conditioner & a TV. The surrounding North Sydney neighbourhood is mostly residential & quiet with the Crows Nest shopping & dining district a 5-10 minute walk away. This place is suitable for those looking for an affordable quiet stay. Most of the guests are people with appointments for elective treatment or physio at the nearby hospitals, out of state medical students on placement, or budget travellers seeking an alternative to the typical backpacker hostel.

The room we reserved was unavailable since a guest had apparently extended his stay at the last minute, so the management upgraded us to a larger triple room for no extra cost. The reception desk in the lounge room was often unmanned during office hours. In this case, use the remote intercom which connects to their operations hub at Glenferrie. The kitchen was functional, with cutlery & dishes provided. Free coffee & tea. Each room has a designated kitchen cabinet to store your food. A shared refrigerator is also available.

I have booked Garden Studio and was more than satisfied with my stay. Little cosy studio separate to the main building offers much more privacy, quiet and self-contained accommodation. Bed was very comfortable, great heating (A/C), kitchenette to cook a meal, fridge, TV and bathroom with a good pressure of water. Perfect to stay short or long term. Main building has a massive kitchen, dining/lounge area and coin-operated washer and dryer. Big Recommend!

Perfect for safe, clean, quiet budget accommodation. A pub with good food on one corner and a great cafe on the other. Comfortable warm bed, good heating, massive clean kitchen. Great location, I have stayed x 3 and will go back soon. They even helped me find my lost wallet, amazing thankyou🙂

We had a short stop over at Sydney and decided to stay in North Sydney area. Dalziel Lodge was perfect match based on the location & pricing wise!
Friendly staff, spacious room and very convenient to ger around the North of Sydney as well as crossing over to visit Opera House, Darling Harbour & Botanical Garden and other popular spots.
I would highly recommend and would certainly come back again.

We stayed in the Garden Apartment for 8 days as I had to be in the Mater Hospital & had to rest after surgery before travelling. We cooked in the apartment it was self contained. Could not fault the Apartment. Fabulous accommodation. Within easy walking distance to hospital. Great restaurants close by, very close to Union Hotel for a meal. Within walking distance to North Sydney oval. We payed to park in the grounds the best thing to do, as parking in the street can be difficult. Highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you to all at Dalziel Lodge.
