For around $700 per night I would have expected better quality fittings & furniture. Rusty Ikea side tables, hard uncomfortable bed, balling on the “luxury” sheets and cheap cooking utensils. I would have been prepared to overlook these details had the description of the property, namely “direct beach access” been accurate. There’s been some beach erosion over a few months at least and direct access from the property has been closed off. This means you need to take the bush path around 30 metres down the road with everyone else using the beach. Also dealing with the managing agents The Holidays Collection was not helpful when I was asking for some sort of compensation. This week away was booked around 6 months ago for our honeymoon and there was ample time to let us know about the access prior to our stay so we could have sought alternative accommodation.
