Great live music here in Sydney! The location is very close to everything. The drink is great and the staffs here are friendly. Recommended everyone to visit here. You might need to book in advance during the crowded hours.

The live performance started with a bit of delay, but it was well worth the wait. The musicians put on a great show, and the delayed start was soon forgotten.

The drinks at the bar were decent, nothing extraordinary, but they did the job and complemented the live music nicely.

The staff at The Swinging Cat were notably friendly and always ready to assist. Their warm and helpful demeanor added to the positive atmosphere of the place.

Overall, my experience at The Swinging Cat was truly enjoyable.

This place was recommended by a friend as a good place to go to for a relaxing cocktail, so we dropped in on Friday after work and got to see some live jazz as well. Cozy atmosphere quirky decor, music, and great service made for a very pleasant afternoon.

Lovely jazz bar in the middle of the city. The band plays for 2 hours with a small break in between. Great spot for a date. Have to make a booking as its usually packed.

It's a great little jazz bar with live jazz until 10 pm, great cocktails and an intimate setting. I recommend booking in advance.

With live music from Thursday to Saturday at 7pm, playing smooth soul beats bringing mellow ambiance to the room.

The bar has table service who are very attentive, making sure you are comfortable at your seat. While enjoying their refreshing cocktails the comfort food is well balanced and simple, I did enjoy the chilli bean empanadas and southern fried pop corn chicken.

My favourite was the Hurricane cocktail, New Orleans staple with a mix of rum and tropical fruit. Riverboat Queen makes you feel like you’re in an island enjoying coconut with subtle mango and apple. Black and Blue had a stronger gin with dark berries.

Amazing atmosphere, drinks, food and great live music!! such a vibe. Very attentive and lovely staff members made this experience even better. The Royal cocktail was so good! and the Mac&Cheese to die for. Beautiful night overall.

Nice and cosy underground bar. I enjoyed their refreshing cocktails, popcorn chicken and complimentary crisps. The live jazz music brings a wonderful vibe. Great customer service and very attentive staff.

Just wow! Such a great venue! The live music was incredible and the Hurrican cocktails took me right back to my trip to New Orleans. The voodoo chips were delicious too. We will be back to try the food menu next time, thank you to all the wonderful staff who were super attentive.

A really nice little gem of a bar located in a perfect spot. Great decor and fantastic Nola inspired snacking plates AND the Sazarac's were very nice indeed. We had fabulous table service from Nada. Thanks Swinging Cat...see you again real soon.😎🥃

It’s a shame we missed live jazz music but we dropped by to enjoy the inside and their happy hour house wine. Such a cozy and warm place

I visited here by myself today. The atmosphere and service taste were all perfect. ✨ They were so kind and I was able to finish the day perfectly thanks to them!

Great! They have a staff capable of delivering one of the best customer services in Sydney. The hostesses, waitresses, and bartenders are very polite. They operate on a pre-booking basis, so be sure to make your reservation before arriving, or you may not get in. Even though the place is small, it doesn't get crowded. The decoration is nice and the seats are comfortable. Just watch out for the tables in front of the bar that are placed right in front of the air conditioner. Bring a coat and you will be fine. This Saturday, the band played from 7pm to 10pm. A second attraction would be very welcome, so we could have stayed longer.
The drinks were perfect, and the food was very good too. I would highly recommend this place for jazz lovers

It's dark, relaxing and has an excellent range of cocktails & drinks. Book a table in advance for large groups, or if you want to secure a spot. It's a popular hangout, so prepare to wait for service. The Live bands are great - creating a wonderful, chilled out atmosphere. The barstaff are always friendly and keen to help. Whether you're at the bar or sitting at a table, you'll have fun at the swinging cat. I've been twice so far, solo and with friends. Will definitely come back and highly recommend this jazz bar/lounge! Pro tip: you recieve free chips if you sit around the bar waiting for your drink! 😀

Stumbled upon this little gem on our way to a reservation. Sitting below the footpath was pretty cool. The atmosphere and Jazz music was really nice. I could have stayed here for a while.

I came here with my partner for my birthday. It was a unique style underground bar with a really good drinks menu and addictive voodoo crips, which I highly recommend to anyone. The service we received from the British accent attendant was simply the best I have seen in bar service. When my partner and I got there early, she opened us a table (even when it was busy), then she moved us to a table with comfy chairs. She checked up on us to make sure everything was good and went above and beyond to give a service with a smile. I was paying with my card and I thought there was a tip option and I wanted to give her a good tip. Whoever is reading this please thank the attendant for her service (from the bald guy with maroon suit jacket lol). If its the manager reading this, please give her a massive praise, she deserves it.
