Love eating at this restaurant. Food is good with nice portions to share dishes and decent prices. It's a very nice atmosphere to eat in but booking is recommended. No complaints, only concern is that a number of staff are not able to speak English which would be difficult for English speaking customers. Have been here a few times and I plan to keep coming back.

Awesome Chinese restaurant! Right near Chinatown, Jiang Nan Gallery nails it with great decor and service. Gotta go with the Squirrel Fish and Shredded Pork. It's that authentic Chinese flavor, big portions, and won't break the bank. Total win!

A nice place to have dinner. We ordered fish soup and the broth is very rich and not fishy.
Fish is very fresh.
The waitress is very attentive and made sure the soup we ordered is not spicy.

Very pleasantly surprised with this place that I always walk past, very unassuming exterior but beautiful interior with beautiful plates and decoration!! Squirrel fish is the best I’ve had in Sydney, green beans are a classic, salted shrimp were so plump and juicy, dongporou very highly and comes with buns I think, but the underrated star was the cold tofu century egg entree… so good!!! Will be back

We had a terrific feast at Jiang Nan Gallery. While all the dishes were tasty, my favourites were: chicken & abalone clay pot, spinach in broth, tea-smoked chicken, beef & green chilli stir-fry, panfried pork buns, salted egg yolk prawns
It was quiet when we were there on a Friday night but it deserves to be more popular as the food was delicious. Service was pretty good with all the dishes coming out at a good pace. The staff also didn't try to hurry us out the door when we didn't notice it was closing time, that was really nice of them (we left as soon as we noticed!)

Love the dishes here especially the beef! It’s juicy and the sauce made it extra delicious though the food’s a tad bit too oily. Quick customer service here as the food’s served quick. Thumbs up for the food and the service here.

Quite a pretty store/ restaurant (both outside and inside). The decor, furniture and even the crockery were all fitting and aesthetic.

The staff are friendly enough and they are quite quick and good with their service. The food in the restaurant was also very nice - I’d recommend the fried rice and also the kung pao chicken. The tofu is soup was also very nice.

They have a bathroom on site and generally it was a very good experience. Would definitely recommend and come back in the future!

The food was really tasty, and the waiters were very nice and welcoming. The food all had different flavours and different attributes that made them all so yummy.

Feel in love with the restaurant atmosphere. The waitress are in hanfu, live performance of guqin, really good food and beautiful dining hall.
Really recommended the mapo tofu, affordable price and the taste is absolutely divine.
Located in the heart of CBD, you need to really try this restaurant.

We had dinner on Saturday evening at this place and was quite happy to find a unique place serving pan Jiang-nan area dishes. The Southern China area has a refined cooking culture using rice and seafood which is different with the Northern part preference of wheat and pork as staples.

We ordered Jiangnan fried noodle, stir-fried beef with green chillies, longjing tea infused stir-fried prawns and tofu noodle soup as appetizer. All dishes are good, but we particularly love the tofu soup and the fried noodle.

We came back later and tried 2 of their other dishes, i.e. the sweet & sour fried barramundi fish (deboned in squirrel shape) and stir-fried sliced potato with cumin and minced pork. Both dishes were very good as well, especially the fish.

We came back after Delta / Omicron lock-down for quick dinner and ordered their lion-head meatball and Jiang-nan style stir-fried pork belly w/ green pepper. Both dishes are very good and authentic Jiang-nan dishes.

The place ambience and staff service are quiet good, but we did not like their practice of dish ordering app using customer's own mobile phone. Prices on the menu are reasonable value, and you can pay with credit cards (V, MC and Amex) with 1.5% surcharge.

Best Chinese restaurant in the city. Service was immaculate even though we arrived at 8:30pm. We loved every dish! the mapo tofu was so flavourful, and it was not even a typical Huan Yang dish. The only thing that could improve probably was the flavour of the pork in the sticky rice, but it paired perfectly with the tofu. Keep going guys! Such a lovely experience and we left full of joy.

The food here is delicious and tasted healthy and homemade which we really enjoyed. The decor is lovely as well and really transports you to China. Highly recommend to come here with a few people and order multiple dishes to share.

We've had great experience dining in this restaurant. Very authentic shanghainese cuisine (jiangnan style). Prices are very reasonable, they have live koto show outside, you can hear the girl playing inside. Highly recommend!

Went with friends who are professionals in the food industry. We sampled quite a wide range of dishes, and all were quite unique and there were tastes that were refreshing and uplifting. Service was excellent. The only issue that I had, and one management should look at is that wer had a table quite close to the toilets, and the smells from there, especially the deodorisers used, wafted over our dining area. This did affect my enjoyment, but the food more than made up for it. The overall atmosphere and design was also well worth experiencing. It will be a place I return to, as the food really hit the right notes with me. The waiters and waitresses were dressed in tradtional clothing from the region that the restaurant featured, and there was a young lady playing a traditional zither out the front, and she was a very skillful performer. The prices were very reasonable too, and there was more than enough food for 4 adults and one small child for just over $200.

Coming from someone born in Shanghai, this restaurants has the best damn 生煎包 (hand made fried buns) I have had on this half of the hemisphere, light and fluffy with a beautiful crunch and an aromatic broth paired with delicious mince filling, it was so good infact that my wife who doesnt like fried buns in general said they were good, they were good enough to prompt me to write this review as I am eating my 6th one. Also great decor and service 👌
