Had a really helpful experience here when I thought my pup ate rat poison. The vet so clearly cared so much about my beautiful little girl. We felt very cared for! And we were looked after immediately which was such a relief given the urgency of the situation

James and the team are fantastic, have taken great care of several of our dogs over the years.

Good treatment for my dog. Not made to feel rushed. A good experienced Vet is worth their weight in gold. Knowledgeable vet nurse happy to advise on any issue that might crop up. All in all an excellent Veterinary Practice.

I'm always worried when a place is the only business in town. Lack of competition someone leads to poor standards. This place surprised me. The receptionist was helpful and the doctor was friendly, supportive and gave wise, intelligent counsel. Our pet casually has been blessed with the best medical care.

Exceptional service, from the moment you walk in from all staff concerned. Michelle and Jacqui are kind and supportive. James is an exceptional vet, goes beyond expectations and quickly diagnosed my pug with a life threatening illness and saved her life.

My beautiful Shepherd penny has had a few ear infections as she was rescued from a council pound and has been seeing James at the clinic.
All the staff are lovely and professional at all times and always make Penny feel special .
I would recommend them as the service and understanding is wonderful. Lovely mountains people.

James is actually the BEST vet in the Blue Mountains. I went to another vet before finding him who charged over $1000 on 3 visits and didnt find an answer. I was frustrated with the other person so went to James. He diagnosed the problem within a few minutes. He has been like that for all my pets. I wont trust anyone else but him.

James and Michelle have both always been wonderful and friendly, going above and beyond to show care and compassion to Leonard the (not so) Wonder Dog; including coming by the house after hours to check on him and deliver medication. Couldn't ask for a better and more caring couple.

I have been using James Haywood's vet services since i moved to the Blue Mts nearly 10yrs ago. In that time he and his team at Blackheath have treated 4 of my dogs through various situations including one very aged dog, a young dog who sadly died from an aggressive form of cancer, one dog nursed back from the brink of a brown snake bite and another dog with a number of issues including infection from spider bite and a leg injury. Both James and Michelle, his wife and partner in the business, have assisted me greatly as I have some disabilities and they have gone out of their way to help me and my animals, even making housecalls on weekends and days off, as well as helping me with the transporting of my dogs when i have not been able. I highly recommend their expertise and genuine care for all small animals. No question is too trivial and no observation made by myself as the owner is dismissed without consideration.

Jess and Bek were so helpful. Incredibly reassuring and flexible with our sick pup.

Dr James and Michelle have provided my fur kids with the highest care, professionalism and support for me during my many visits, in particular with my mini dachshund Ellie.

James and michelle treated mila with the utmost respect and care, including her followup requirements.
Dr James and Michelle have been godsends for my furkids.
Prior to finding James and Michelle, I was travelling 4hrs round trip to my vet.
I cannot recommend/insist/prefer James and Michelle enough for anyone who only wants the absolute BEST for their furkids

Vet and staff are genuinely nice and caring to the animals. They also don't gouge owners with unnecessary procedures and vaccines.
