Din Tai Fung World Square Restaurant

Din Tai Fung is my favourite Chinese restaurant. With decent vegetarian options and good ambiance, it's a good place to enjoy good food in a group.

They have good vegetarian options. The mushroom and truffle old fried rice was a bit bland. Love their wonton noodle dish. They have both spicy and non spicy version.

Absolutely no complaints, the food was delicious and the service was quick. The xiao long bao is really a highlight and is definitely a must get from here, so is the hot and sour soup.

This place was recommended by my niece as she wants to try out this restraunt while her visit from Brisbane to Sydney. We planned our lunch at world square center and was amazed with a variety of vegetarian options. We ordered Spicy veg wontons, vegetarian spring roll, spicy vegetarian wonton noodles, vegetarian bun in mains and golden taro bread, chocolate lava mini bun, golden lava mini bun in desserts. All mains & desserts were delicious except golden lava mini bun. The staff at the restaurant is so helpful and resourceful who helped us in arranging our lunch booking in short notice. We come here whenever we’re in Sydney. Everything is always outstanding, the xiao long bao is second to none and we recently discovered the Lychee Mint freeze signature drink. Amazing! The only way Din Tai Fung could be better is if there’s one opened in Canberra!

We came here for lunch 😋 We initially thought we were going for late breakfast/brunch having only arrived from Dubai late the night before. As we are staying in the Chinatown area, we figured local lunch was a better option. We got a lovely friendly welcome and immediately got our table. We hadn't been to a restaurant with robots supporting wait staff before so was a total novelty for us, esp my teenage niece. We ordered a selection to share. The steamed chicken dumplings with soy sauce were outstanding, as was the vegetable fried rice, plain noodles and pork 😋 👌. The absolute favorite of all 3 of us was the duck wraps with hoisin sauce. Beyond flavorsome with perfectly cooked crispy outside, soft inside roast duck, nicely diced usual veggies and wraps. Sooo good and so tasty. We got Tingtao beers, diet coke and sparkling water. Our bill was around $115 which was super value for how much food we got and drinks. Very generous portions, hot and high quality food, lovely friendly wait staff. We plan on going here again after some tours and FIFA soccer ⚽ games. My niece is a young teen and loved the kitty robots, and all the soft toys and store accessories. I've a feeling we will leave with one the next time!! Chinatown area is so rich with food options, culture and xute shops and so easy to walk around and build an appetite. A++++ HERE FOR QUALITY AND VALUE!!!

We’ve been coming here on and off since it opened >10 years ago. Always loved DTF at all their branches. The fried rice and pork is especially a favourite and the pork is extra crispy these days! The XLB is also a favourite and I love that all DTF restaurants have ginger with their vinegar sauces readily available. The mint lychee drink is also really good. Not the cheapest place to eat dumplings but also in line with inflated economy.

I went to visit this place to try their limited edition Rainbow Xiao Long Baos and enjoyed the variety! Din Tai Fung also has a wide variety of sharing plates, noodles, fried rice, dumplings, buns and my all time favourite hot dessert ✨Golden Lava Mochi Balls✨for you to enjoy. Overall I think the dishes are reasonably priced, so delicious and satisfying! It also gets sooo busy so quickly and I understand the hype about this place

Wow! The dumplings were unlike any others I have ever tried! They were so fresh and hot, they came out so quickly too! The service was excellent and food was all way to fresh! Loved it - going back for sure! 🥟😋♥

This place is pack everyday. But the food comes out very fast but this doesn't affect the quality or the quantity of the food. Everything out here is made to order. There is no dish out here thats i wouldn't recommend to try. Sometimes they do have limited edition dumplings so make sure you try it while its there.

The staff is very lovely. They have a wide range of food selection and the restaurant is kept clean and efficient. Only quite busy especially during peak times. Adrian is a very lovely worker ☺

Great dumplings and a good variety of Chinese dishes. Service is great with good attention to detail. Menu has images of all dishes and you place your order by selecting dish numbers with quantity on paper slip - very simple. Very popular so get in early. Veggie dumplings highly recommend 👍

Hot spicy noodles yummy!!! So many great dishes at this place. The robot delivery is novel but probably gets in the way more than helps... and the robot doesn't do stairs so what's the point.
We ordered off the table QR Code but it didn't take payment, so that's obviously done for a pure cost cutting objective.
But ignoring these issues, the food is delicious.

This restaurant has amazing dumplings. I really like the chicken bao. We had pork and shrimp dumplings, we had Xiaolongbao, vegetarian dumplings and a side of beans with pork, the food was fresh and got lots of flavour :-)

This was such an amazing experience. The dumplings were extremely fresh and full of tasty ingredients. Some novelty experiences with coloured dumplings to celebrate Vivid. The service was great and very technologically advanced in ordering. Would definitely visit again.

I visited this restaurant located in World Square, and it was amazing experience. Their place clean and comfy and the ambience was very good. I ordered Shrimp and Pork Spicy Noodle Fried Wonton, and it was delicious and the spiciness are okay. The Golden Lava Mochi balls also good as a dessert. Recommended

Outstanding Chinese restaurant, the soup noodles are full of flavour, buns are fluffy, spring rolls are crispy, everything is of very good quality and it took around 10 minutes for the food to arrive. Their menu is very extensive, customer service is great and prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back for lunch :)

Flavour on flavour with more flavour! Dumplings are absolutely delicious and the many noodle dishes never disappoint. Wait isn’t too long, each table has an iPad to order from and the food appears so quickly it may as well be magic. A great place to go alone or hang out with a big crew so you get to try more things!

I love dumplings a day I was not disappointed. I had spring rolls, fresh and crispy. Had the pork dumplings, with delicious soup inside. And had a pork bun. The service was surprisingly good and friendly for a Chinese place. You could take them for Japanese, hehe. And very good price too. Warmly recommended.

Amazeballs. Human customer service was efficient as the robot-tray. Dumplings are yummy and the prawn pancake is sooo good! You need to have Dim Tai Fung when in Sydney. Great for brunch, for lunch, and dinner. 😍🤤

Ordered my meal on an iPad located on the table. Quick service & delicious dumplings. Ordered the spicy shrimp and pork dumplings & the chicken mushroom wantons. They have robots that deliver some of the dishes to your table!
