This area is getting better. Playground has improved. Has toilets BBQ area(needs an uprade), baseball field. Heaps of camping areas. Caravan friendly. Beware of long weekends and school holidays can become crowded. Fishing is great(try the dam wall, some snags)

The dam is privately owned with fishing permitted on one side of the dam - signs and access steps over the fence indicate the correct side of the dam for this activity (determined by facing downstream - it's right spur embankment)
Camping on the foreshore is free and controlled by the local council. Popular with families and grey nomads. Free showers and toilets on site. Limits apply on the number of days you can stay. Check with Lithgow Council. Council rangers patrol.
Non motor boating is permitted on the water.
