Crib Room Restaurant

I stayed at the Black Gold for three nights and during my stay had breakfast and dinner in the Crib Room restaurant and each and every meal was delicious!

The dining room is an eclectic mix of mining paraphernalia but super cozy and inviting. The staff are the most welcoming and lovely bunch of people you could hope to be serving you. Always up for a chat and genuinely interested in your day and the conversation.

The food is too notch! Well prepared with fresh local ingredients.

There is something on the menus for everyone but my tip is try the prawn curry, it’s bloody fantastic!

A group of eight of us had a lovely meal recently on a Saturday night. We found the food excellent and felt very well cared for by the friendly and attentive staff. Most of us were of senior age and appreciated the option of the seniors' menu of smaller portions for a reduced price. For most of us that was the ideal selection. The meals were of high standard and well presented.

When I first walked in, I was amazed at the size of the venue and found interesting artefacts and stories scattered throughout of mining history. The bar area is cosy and inviting, and the dining area is comfortable and spacious, so you're not crammed in. The staff were helpful and friendly. A nice selection of food on the menu, I chose the stuffed chicken with spinach and pine nuts. It was awesome, but so were the veggies, cooked to perfection, crispy, and very tasty.
I tried Kosciusko tap beer for the first time, and it was great. This place is more than just a restaurant, it's an adventure.

Went here for breakfast with friends on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago.
This used to be my old primary school when I lived in Wallerawang and it’s the first time I’ve been to the restaurant and it brought back a lot of great memories.
I must say my Eggs Benedict was the “BEST”I’ve had in a very ,very long time.😺
The eggs were perfectly runny, lots of bacon ,the sauce wasn’t too creamy , and had a nice hollandaise flavour, and the sourdough bread was cooked perfect and not too hard. I would’ve licked the plate if there wasn’t so many people around.😹
Great service and not over priced .

Wonderful dinner and breakfast. Healthy and generous portions. Lots of options for sides. I got the parmi and the sauce was delicious. Fresh produce, veggies etc. Eggs in the morning were great. So was the coffee. Hot chips were okay.

Friendly staff, efficient service, lovely food and great atmosphere.

Lovely cosy restaurant with busy, buzzy atmosphere. Great variety on menu. Stuffed chicken was outstanding. Cheesy garlic bread Yum. Friendly service. Have to return to try the crumbed sausages or the spag bol. Friends raved about the local stout. Bar area looked very inviting. Motel was great too. Highly recommend!

We had a great night at the Crib Room. Our meals exceeded expectations and were all delicious. The staff were all friendly and courteous. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we have rebooked for Mothers Day!

Great food! Everything was delicious - the stuffed chicken, the steak, onion rings and the sticky date pudding... The service was good and efficient. We will come back to Wallerawang and stay at Black Gold Motel again, just to have dinner here

I enjoyed the vegan pasta and my fiancé had the chicken breast, both meals were thoroughly enjoyed. Service was lovely and a quiet atmosphere which was great for the cosy dinner we had planned. We also ordered a couple of cocktails with our meals, which were equally enjoyable.

Great Food, great service. Perfect for a meal out in a quiet relaxed atmosphere.
