Mudgee Honey Haven

Not far from town. What a lovely place. There’s a variety of honey to taste before buying. Lots of varieties to choose from and there’s choc honey comb chocolate for sale as well. Small cafe in the front which sells honey flavoured ice creams. Car park available on site. Highly recommended.

This was a great surprise as I have never seen such a comprehensive display of honey related items. From the different pollen flavoured honeys, to therapeutics, to wines they have it all. It was also nice to be able to talk with the knowledgeable staff about the produce and their obvious passion for their products.

Great shop with so many products related to honey and bees wax. There’s a central honey tasting area, a sample of lotions and scrubs, and a cafe that sells honey flavoured ice creams which were delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful, always asking if you need any help. They’re quite funny too even when having problems with the credit card machines. Made for a nice little shopping trip.

Very friendly staff to serve the honey mead tasting and the products. An unique honey ice cream made by chef is selling here! Love it very much.

I really like this place, you can taste different types of honey in here. They also offer wines and non-alcoholic drinks made from honey which are awesome! They sell souvenirs, skin cares from honey. One thing you must try is their honey ice cream! But the ice cream has egg ingredients so be careful if you are allergic to eggs.

Absolutely lovely honey producer! This is a Must visit when you are in town!

Their meads are also great tasting too!

Honestly from the outside it doesnt look much. We entered and the name says it all. "Honey Haven" . Was pleasantly/happily surprised with the quantity of products involving honey. Every thing was neat clean and tidy with many cool ideas for gifts at affordable prices. They have an educational live bee hive display which looks very cool. At the little cafe we had a toasted sandwich and a milkshake. They also have icecream available and other food. What I really liked was the Mead Honey Alcohol :) They offered a tasting and ended up purchasing 2 bottles :)

When in Mudge there are two things that are a must Wine & Honey (according to me).

We visited the Mudgee Honey Haven to taste and buy local honey. The approach to their cafe/shop is really nice and they are an easy drive from Mudgee town centre. .

Before tasting a large variety of honey we tasted their 4 types of Honey Mead & non-alcoholic Fresco in two flavours Sparkling Honey & Sparkling Honey & Ginger. The sparkling honey & ginger fresco had a light flavour with a hint of honey ❤.

Their Mead was great too. Apparently once you open the bottle you don't need to gulp it all down like regular wines.

We also had their scones which were divine and their staff were great & courteous.

Aside from the above they have a lot of other stuff like skin care, soaps etc. with honey.

Tastings are free. A point to note though, the more honey you taste the more confused you get when its decision time. I couldn't make up my mind which one to get as I liked all of them.

So if you're in the Mudgee region head out to the Mudgee Honey Haven, its worth a visit.

The staff were absolutly brillant answered all our questions, the boys had a good go at their mini golf game.
Bought a few differnt types of honey best tasting, will not be buying supermarket honey again.

Love this place! A must stop whenever we are in town. The kids love tasting the different types of honey and the addition of a Cafe is lovely to have an ice cream etc. Staff are friendly and happy to chat.

Gorgeous selection of honeys and honey-related products: candles, mead, cosmetics; bee-themed tea towels, aprons and canvas bags and so on. Also a coffee shop offering good, sturdy coffee and various baked goods.

Had a pit stop here. Was pleasantly surprised to see such an array of honey, artisan products as well as a large variety of bee themed souvenirs here. The customer service was super friendly and delightful.

We were driving from dubbo back to Sydney and did a stop at honey haven. The store is beautifully presented and the lady was very friendly giving us a taste of all the honey. We got the banana flavored honey which we thought would go well with pancakes. The shoo also sells honey ice cream $5, has putt putt golf for the kids, coffee cakes and even honey wines. Heaps of chutney, sauces, oils, honey gifts,

If you want to eat in, book ahead because this place is popular. The $12 bacon and egg roll with coffee is a steal, the eggs are so fresh and they are really generous with the perfectly cooked bacon. We shared a beef cheese and bacon pie which was scrumptious. I really enjoyed the sparkling mead and the fresco. Their original Mudgee honey haven honey is still the best. The service is warm and loving and that's why they are so good!

The scones and jam are really good. Must try! I would also recommend the honey honey ice cream. Priced at $5 you cant miss this when visiting here. Heaps of other stuff you can buy - honey, jams, other touristy knick knacks. Free mead tasting - dont miss!

So I've been seduced by the dark side of Honey Mead. My better half is a self confessed honey fiend and she is not ashamed of it. If you don't mind a sweet little glass before bed or just an excuse for an afternoon relaxer. You definitely should not go without a sampling of their Mead selection... and won't go home empty handed.

A Lovely Shop and The Owners are such Beautiful People. We bought some all Natural products while we were there.
I am using the moisturiser and taking the supplements. Will update in a month and let everyone know how I am doing.
