Last night I was fortunate enough to attend a private function and experience what Dragon boat is all about; exceptional service and high quality food, all of which created fantastic experiences and memories with a bunch of great people. We were able to indulge in a wide variety of dishes, all bringing their own special flavours and cooking technique to the table, dishes included: Peking duck, Singapore style spanner crab, mussels, beef rib dish (the standout), special fried rice, stir fried vegetables and more.

Dragon boat pride themselves on using high quality ingredients and executing stunning dishes using traditional Asian culinary techniques, this was clearly evident through the exceptional flavours and the presentation of dishes that Chef Owen and his team created.

The venue itself is full of beautiful décor and we were fortunate enough to dine in a private dining room which had beautiful harbour views, if you want to take your tastebuds on a rich flavoursome culinary experience, Dragon boat have you covered! Will be back again.

Last night we got to enjoy some amazing culinary skills by Chef Jing Wang (Owen) From delicious entree, to creative mains like stir fry spanner crab, beef rib, steamed mussels, and Peking duck, Chef Jing definitely excited our taste buds.

This place is truly 5 star in service and food. For Chinese and Asian fusion dining in Sydney, choose Dragon Boat, the only Chinese restaurant in Darling Harbour, boasting panoramic views out over the city skyline and water and a 24 hour licence.

They specialise in live seafood, and use only the highest quality ingredients and traditional Asian culinary techniques in each premium gastronomic creation. It’s truly an experience in the true taste of the Orient.

I have been to Dragon Boat for dinner twice now and both times have been excellent!! There are two beautiful private dining rooms upstairs, with sweeping views of Darling Harbour (and even karaoke!)

I visited most recently last week and indulged in a delicious Chinese banquet featuring beautiful, traditional flavours with some added modern flair. Highlights for me included the Peking Duck pancakes with melt-in-the-mouth crispy skin, carved right at the table; the stir-fried spanner crab swimming in a rich Singapore-style sauce, served with steamed and deep-fried Chinese buns; and the juicy steamed mussels with vermicelli and moreish, savoury black bean sauce.

The service was impeccable and we had a great night – thank you Dragon Boat Chinese Restaurant!

Dragonboat Chinese Restaurant must have one of the best locations around. Situated on the second level of the Harbourside Shopping Centre, if you get one of the prized seats on the balcony, you can enjoy the panoramic views of Darling Harbour, the Sydney Skyline as well as fireworks on weekends. At the moment you also benefit from the Vivid lights.
Classed as fine Chinese/Asian fusion, their menu is extremely extensive and surprisingly not expensive considering its location. Their menu boats traditional Chinese items, as well as specialising in seafood.
Spring rolls, prawn crackers or Dim Sim are on offer for the entrée, but we ordered our favourite – Sang Choy Bao, which was super tasty and our waiter especially served this for us.
We also had some beautiful boiled handmade pork dumplings, packed with flavour.
There are plenty of seafood options, from scallops, Calamari and prawns to Abalone. The seafood is so fresh, you can see it live as you enter the restaurant. There are even lots of live lobster options.
We had the stir fried beef with Szechuan sauce, mixed vegetables and fried rice. You can never beat fried rice! This was popping with colour and as tasty as always.
Poultry, Noodles, Soup, Vegetarian and even a kids menu is available, so there really is something for everyone.
They do have a private dining room, complete with Chandelier, which you can rent for events, as well as some private balconies. They have a minimum spend and also a set menu ranging from $30-$75 a head.
I must add that one of the best things about this restaurant is William. William is the manager of this restaurant, and not only is he efficient at his job and an excellent host, his personality is awesome. He loves to crack a joke and every interaction made our experience enjoyable.
If you’re having an event or event just a weekend booking over lunch, it is highly recommended to book. I have it on good authority that it is booked out every weekend.

I had the pleasure of dining at Dragon Boat last week with a large group of friends in one of three private dining room spaces.

Stunning views of darling harbour, and on a Saturday night would be the perfect firework vantage point 😉🎆 Did I also mention the private rooms have karaoke! The perfect chance to bust out some moves and show off that voice of yours 👏

We had quite a banquette, starting with the Stir fried egg white with seafood in milk, served in an open egg shell. This dish really surprised me as I didnt know what to expect! A beautiful silky seafood was inside, and I recommend trying this one to start off your meal.

Next we had Peking Duck 2 ways, the first was served atop a pringle with strawberry and kiwi fruit and the second was served the traditional way in a pancake.
The pringle variation certainly had a modern twist to it and I enjoyed the creativity, but my favourite had to be the traditional way served with that beautiful Peking sauce 🙌

Steamed mussels with vermicelli noodles & black bean sauce, a very delicate dish with a great amount of flavour. This was one of my favorite dishes along with the egg & crab!

The Spanner Crab cooked in a Singapore style sauce, with steamed and fried Chinese buns is a must order!
A rich sauce with a hearty serving of crab meat and crab shells 🔥🦀

Last but not least, the desert was very delicious! The black sesame deep fried rice ball. A good flavour inside with a delicious stickiness inside.

Overall, beautiful staff and have to give a shout out to the chef & owner Jamie for hosting a lovely night with lots of laughs and giggles! Definitely would dine here again and I loved the decor and style of the venue, the function spaces are so pretty 😍

Had an amazing experience at Dragon Boat Chinese Restaurant.
The waterfront view of Darling harbour was soo beautiful. The restaurant is quiet big and they have seperate rooms for groups / special events.
There was so many variety on the menu I had no idea what to order so I had asked the staff to recommend me suggestions and he kindly explained almost everything on the menu and then I made my selects. For the Entree I had a tofu dish + a mushroom dish. For mains I got a beef dish and a prawn dish + congee (rice porridge) on the side. I was very impressed with the presentation of each dish that came out. If it's your first time visiting this place I would definitely recommended ordering all the dishes that I had tried because it was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The beef actually melts in your mouth and it was a perfect match with the wasabi sauce. Definitely will be back to try the other dishes on the menu :) Thank you for the amazing food and service.

Great location, beautiful view and amazing service from the staff. In particular, Bill made a positive impression on all of us and made our dining experience fun and memorable. It was mesmorising watching Bill cut our picking duck effortlessly.
The serving size of all the dishes are quite generous; we had dumplings, Peking duck, honey prawns, fried rice. We had already been there a couple of times and will go back again

A very pleasant dining experience at Dragon Boat. We had a nice view over the harbour. Service was friendly, quick and attentive. We didn’t have to wait long for our orders to be brought out. The quality and freshness of the food was above average. Highly recommended and I’ll definitely be back.

We visited the Dragon Boat Restaurant yesterday afternoon and had the Peking Duck and San Choy Bow. I had previously reserved a table for 2 and we were greeted by the friendly staff when we arrived. The service was excellent. William, the Restaurant Manager, introduced himself and explained the preparation of the meal. Our food, 4 courses, were all delivered within 30 minutes. The individual courses were well prepared and cooked to perfection. This is a 'must go' restaurant if you are looking for a good dining experience in Sydney. We are coming back next week to try other dishes and will likely patronize this establishment regularly. Well done William, and congratulations to your staff.

A picture perfect location right in the centre of darling harbour, over looking the harbour along with the bustling crowds on a Saturday night. The interior is filled with round tables and oriental decorations and furniture, service was great and a big shout out to the restaurant manager William who looked after us that night! The food was delicious, with generous portions and quality food, we recommend the pork ribs, Peking duck pancake.
Great food with waterfront views- Need I say more

One of my favourite restaurants. Upon arrival we were immediately seated and given appropriate time to select food and drinks whilst also enjoying the wonderful view of the restaurant and of the whole Darling Harbour. Service was brilliant and the food was amazing. For mine, the dumplings were absolutely divine.

Had a great time dining here the other night. If you get a chance i would recommend sitting on one of the outdoor tables on the balcony overlooking Darling Harbour. My favourite dish here would have to be the taro crispy duck! Special thanks to William for providing exceptional service.

Had a really enjoyable dining experience at Dragon Boat restaurant in Darling Harbour. We went during lunch, so there wasn't much of a view of Darling Harbour to enjoy, but I imagine that at night the view would be amazing with all the night lights!

The two stand out dishes for me were the Boiled Fish Fillet with Hot Chilli Soup (really loved the soup) and Braised Beef Ribs with Homemade Supreme Brown Sauce!

Thank you William for taking good care of us during our visit!

Went for birthday, service and food was excellent. Let us bring our own cake in, put it on a nice plate and played the birthday song from their system. Beautiful location. Would definitely recommend :) Thanks to William, we had a great experience there
