Woodgate Caravan and Camping in Queensland

Stayed with the family at this beautiful location. So quiet with the bush camping feel and have water and power.
The amenities are absolutely stunning and so clean and tidy.
Owners made us feel very welcomed as soon as we arrived.
Firewood, ice, gas all there ready if you need.
Such a beautiful place, we will definitely be back.

Beautiful tranquility a short distance of 30 m from the water. Just what we needed to unwind. The hosts make you feel like family. We are so pleased that the owners share their private property with people that adores nature.
The amenities are exceptional and so much better than what you expect of a bush camp.
The company of like minded people, in the setting of this landscape is like a new world.
Loved it and will definitely go again.

My partner and I camped here for a night. What a spot 🥰 the lady is lovely, the campground is great (super quiet besides the birds in the morning), and the bonus is the easy beach access. The amenities are chefs kiss 🫢👌 hot showers and decent loo's that were nice and clean.

The very helpful staff here got us in last minute as we had a bad experience at another site in Buxton. Very friendly from our first phone call, the site was large and private, small riverfront beach was nice to swim in and amenities were clean. Potable water wasn’t a problem at all also.

We went as group with a mixture of tents and vans. Great location, plenty of room for camping. The amenities are excellent, and the Staff are very helpful. The access road is easy, and shops aren't far away. Highly recommended this location.

If you want an authentic bush camping experience with the luxury of very clean amenities with a flushing toilet this is the place to camp. We stayed in the unpowered part - a very short 39 m walk to watch sunsets on the Burrum River, campfire in evenings, bird song. wild flowers and a show of the galaxy at night. Close by at Walkers Point easy access to a sandy beach and a nice walking track. A place to relax and enjoy life. Thank you to the owners for sharing this place.

What an absolute wonderful restful park this is . Plenty of space to enjoy the serenity . The toilets and showers were impeccably clean every day . It was lovely to use the fire pits , sit back with a drink and watch the fire flickering away .( You can purchase wood here if you require it.)
Whilst we were off grid , there are powered sites at the campground . We cannot recommend this place highly enough. A short drive to Woodgate with all the amenities that anyone could want are very close by. The campsite is safe and secure with coded gates
We tried a bit of fishing which was us feeding the fish ( they were certainly smarter than us ) The water was an incredible turquoise colour and so clear. We have totally enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back !

I want to give this place an average score just so it doesn't get too popular, however, wow! What a beautiful place! Good fishing, camp-fires, quiet, hot showers and toilet, we will definitely be back for longer! Thankyou Maria and Louie for letting us enjoy your piece of paradise 👍 edit: sandflies weren't as bad as I read, they are way worse a few hours south.

An excellent stay! The hosts are lovely, the park is dog friendly and has private river access. We stayed in the unpowered section and the facilities were amazing! We had initially booked a powered site but decided to stay in the unpowered section and the hosts even offered a refund. Very kind. The park also has plenty of fire pits and sells wood! 10/10!

Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend, and the information for places to visit with dogs off leash. We had our Labradoodle Millie with us and we all loved it. Plenty of space, quiet, peaceful and tranquil. This 35 acre campsite is perfect for getting away from the rat race! Perfect hosts, Immaculate amenities, Hot showers and flushing toilets! Beautiful campground very spacious, there was a lot of campers here but still very peaceful and quiet, very clean amenities and the host Louie and Maria are just lovely, we will definitely be back

Woodgate is a great camping spot. We had made a mistake and booked for the wrong month (which had already passed) and the owner let us stay which was such a god send!! . The amenities are clean and lovely. The camp spots are ideal. They are so peaceful. We would come here again.

With the park still a work in progress, it still is a great park for camping in all types of vehicles. Hot showers, flashing toilets, cleaned every day. Plenty of trees for shade heaps of room for everyone. Short walk to the river bank great view out across the river. Just remember like every salt water creek the midges and mozzies bring aeorguard.Owner's very friendly. Great place to seat on the ck bank and watch the sunset 🍺🍹. Just be carefull not to miss the turnoff from the bitumen as there are no signs . I'll be back next time in the area.

Maria and Louie were fantastic hosts for our stay in the caravan Park. We stayed there for 10 days and since the moment we arrived they were so welcoming and helpful. They come to get us to check that we will be ok with our car in the road to the campsites, they provided us with some camping gear for the rainy days which saved our life and we could actually enjoyed the beautiful rain under a proper roof right next to our tent! Every 2 days they would come to see how we were doing.

What it comes to the caravan Park, it was really good. So big that we could actually based our campsite in the bush with no one around around us, it was like being camping in the bush but with super cleaned toilets 1 min walk from our tent.
Lots of roo s chilling around, the beach 5 min walk, amazing sunsets and it looked like it was just for us even when they had around 100 people on site ...

Campsite out of this world. Absolute paradise right next to the Burrum river. Camp spots are massive it feels like there is no one miles around you. Great amenities with hot water, cleaned daily. Owners are wonderful people who made us feel like home thanks for everything Louis and Maria. See you soon again!

Nice clean place to stay with different camping options and clean amenities to to say how friendly the owners are by greeting you with a smile and seeing you of with the same smile a must for all.

Stayed here for 5 nights recently and found it fantastic. Not sure how busy it gets during the holidays but off peak there was almost nobody there! Great friendly camp hosts, nice open areas to set up in, plenty of firewood to collect, and clean amenities. Only about 5-6 mins drive into Woodgate beach.

Loved it, plenty of room, showers,toilets, dog friendly , and the hosts are really nice, granddaughter caught a little bream, we will be back !

This was one of my best camping trips with my pets I’ve been on, it was so quiet and peaceful and being so close to the water was just a bonus for swimming. I highly recommend friends and family to plan a visit. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and thanks again Chris for fixing my car! See ya soon 👍

Great area, still working on the park itself but still had an excellent feel to the place. Shower and toilets available and regularly cleaned. Great owners who are always willing to help. I can't wait to be back and see where the park is up to next year.
