Buxton General Store

Two friends and I had fish chips and calamari for lunch. Absolutely brilliant and the young ladies who were running this place a wonderful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Buxton General Store, Buxton Queensland. Also PO, some great takeaways or eat there. We each had their Spicy Chicken Burger - yum yum yum!!! Their fruit & veg is limited but fresh. Good variety of frozen goods, drinks etc. Gas, ice & bait. Friendly staff. Great job folks.

Now under new Ownership , The Stanton Bovis's welcome all and sundry to partake in their Freshly Brewed Coffee or wide selection of Cold Beverages . They also have a Nice selection of Local Fish for you to try in their Snack Bar . Need a Cold Drink ? They are also our Local Bottleshop and you can also grab those last minute Groceries in their Mini Mart . They are also our local Bait and Tackle Shop and Local Post Office . Drop in and say Gooday .
PS : Now also our local boozer with occasional live bands and functions . Also Be Buxtons only Gas agent .

I went for a ride to Buxton after reading great reviews about the area. I went to the general store for lunch. What awesome coffee and Sweetlip seafood platter for one. Owners where very friendly and helpful on the local area, all the locals too! The addition of an emergency defibrillator on the exterior wall shows their commitment to the locals & their customers. AAA1 - go, you won't be disappointed.

Very friendly and helpful staff/owners. They are very willing to take the time out to assist customers. Very reasonably priced. Amongst other items we got a very fresh and tasty salad.

Great little shop. Does the best best chips and even has a very reasonably priced bottle shop. Perfect spot to go for a fish as it has plenty of parking and plenty of places to throw a line in. A real hidden gem.

Great little store! 😃 we were out in the boat & decided to try them out for lunch & snacks & fishing bait. Was only a short 1 min walk from the boat ramp. Had everything we needed!
