Such an amazing place (site 12) was nestle back behind the trees on the creek, quite at nights, facilities were great, hot hot water. This is a must if visiting Tasmania, highly recommended and would definitely stay available…

This campsite was very well maintained and a gorgeous area to camp. Camping was $20 a night, dog friendly and the amenities were in fairly good shape. Toilets and showers.

Great spot and amenities. Hot showers, BBQ & kitchen and small store. Quiet camping (beginning of november). Next to the river - just the best

Had 2 nights here just this weekend and it was fabulous!! The grounds were immaculate with not a piece of rubbish to be seen. The toilets were very clean. The new managers are lovely and have done a fabulous job tidying up the office. There’s now outside benches and a table inside as well as some basic groceries, some takeaways and barista coffee. It’s a credit to this lovely couple!! The check in system is easy and organised with a lovely warm welcome. We would highly recommend for a relaxing weekend away.

Very calm, relaxing, clean, friendly and lot of things to do for families with younger campers/travelers, by the St. Patrick’s river. In top 10 personal favorites (Tas). 30-45 min NE of Launceston.

Fantastic campground! I would highly recommend staying here if you are passing through and need somewhere to stay in this area. Hot showers and decent facilities for the cost.

One of the best paid campgrounds in Tasmania, has toilets ,showers ,laundry, awesome camp kitchen, fire pits at some sites. Other councils in Tassie could learn a thing or two from this place. Well done Launceston City Council.

Very cheap and children friendly. The campground is very large, with a beautiful creek going around it. The playground has enough equipment to keep the kids occupied. The large portion of chips and wood fired pizza are very good too.

I had a lovely time with family here.

The site had problems in mid 2018 but 2019 sees a new owner working hard to make this a great place. I stayed for 2 weeks over Christmas 2018 using it as a base for North East Tasmania exploring. Fantastic site and value for money.

Perfect family spot, kids had a ball playing on the playground and the fire pits were just what we needed with the chilly nights. Being Queenslanders the $2 HOT Showers were a god send. Loved sitting in the arvo and watching the Platypus play in the stream, it was just so special. Very friendly and helpful caretakers look forward to coming back.

Such a lovely, well maintained idyllic campground. We camped next to the most picturesque river bend you can imagine. The platypus sightings were definitely a highlight, as well as a pademelon. The facilities are clean and the hot showers are plus. Highly recommend this location!
