A stunning location to go camping swimming or just enjoying a picnic. The Albert River is nice and refreshing on a hot day. The campgrounds are always kept in immaculate condition.
The perfect location to go camping with plenty of beautiful scenery close by. Lost World Valley is just down the road with magnificent views of Lamington National Park. Enjoy the cooler nights with a campfire. Onsite Management are always polite and friendly.
I highly recommend staying here for an extended holiday or just as a day visitor.

This has everything we were looking for, for a day out and to cool off. It would be a great overnight camping spot as well.

Excellent well maintained grounds for a small price per night. Managers are a lovely friendly couple. Large camping areas with lots of different spaces around a huge property.
Flowing creek runs though the property, great for a swim & cool down.
Heaps of birds and other wild life around. Fire pits provided everywhere, you can bring your own firewood or buy it at the kiosk.

Really lovely place. Onto a day trip today but we hope to return to camp. Very beautiful, amazing cool flowing water. Probably the best public toilets I've ever used. Was awesome to be there for the bird feeding at 4pm.

Our favourite spot to camp off grid. Joe who runs the place is a legend and he is always happy to help. It has great sites and a nice little river that is always flowing. Toilets are clean and kiosk has the basics should you forget anything. You can purchase wood by the bag, wheelbarrow or bobcat bucket.

Only an hour from Nerang. Great spot, great hosts, has toilets (no showers), a creek to swim in, playground, cheap firewood, oval for kicking the ball, loads of different type of sites to choose the best spot for you!

A relaxing weekend at Darlington Park. Clean toilet & shower block. Play area across the road and a gentle flowing river to splash in when the weather is hot. The rainbow lorikeets are just beautiful to watch when they come in for their afternoon feed. Owners are fantastic and very helpful.
A lovely spot to escape the madness of the city.

One of the best places to camp. Sits on both sides of the road. There is a big area close to the very swimable Albert River. Picnic tables, covered, several free electric BBQ that's cleaned daily. Playground and day area. Toilets are clean. No showers. Take away your greywater. Large Garbage bins emptied weekly. Joe is the caretaker managing both parks. Nice friendly relaxed place. $10/p/n is worth it.

Even though it was crowded, it was not cramped. There were no long toilet queues and it was nice and quiet after 10pm which is always good.
It’s also good that nearly every site has a fire pit.
The morning was topped off with a visit from our feathered friends.

We come here every Easter, can’t fault the place for camping, the kids love swimming in the creak, and the management keep the grounds well maintained, and at Easter time the have activities for the kids including art and craft, farm animals, Easter egg dash and a band.

Would love it if they added showers, but not a big deal.

We visited Darlington Park over the October long weekend and it was perfect! We only stayed for 3 nights and we had a van with a shower and toilet. They have loads of activities for the kids (playground nearby, petting zoo one day and daily bird feeding) plus played the NRL grand final for people who were keen.
Pros:
- open plan camp sites without restrictive boundaries
- bring your dogs (on a leash)
- toilet facilities
- lots of grass
- fire pits
- bird feeding
- creek nearby
- nearby playground
- coffee cart nearby
- CHEAP

Cons
- no showers

We paid $80 for 3 nights. Perfect.

A MUST VISIT CAMP GROUND!
We have just had the best 3 days camping out at Darlington Park. As a single mum who was taking her children out camping by herself for the first time Joe and Kate were lovely. They reassured me as to the safety of camping near the river after all the rain in the past weeks when they took the time to respond promptly to my emails prior to our visit. When we arrived Joe let me know that we could call on him if we needed anything, which set my mind at ease. As for the grounds, well they were breathtakingly beautiful. The views from the river side camp sites were amazing. Freshly mowed grass and immaculately cleaned out fire pits made for easy and relaxed setting up. Their was such a family feel to the place. My children enjoyed using the playground with their newly found friends that they had met. A few games of cricket were played on the oval as well. I sat at my river side site and could watch as my children waded in the river with other children that were visiting while I prepared meals or sat back and read a book. Thankfully, there were free books available for borrowing at the kiosk, as I had forgotten to bring my own. Although the beauty of the river enticed me in for a swim on most occasions. The toilet facilities were immaculate and the liquid hand soap was always replaced as soon as it ran out. The availabile BBQ areas were beautifully looked after and clean.

The kiosk was also a highlight of our stay. Joe and Kate were wonderfully friendly to both myself and my children,as well as all others visiting the park. My son also said I had to mention the great prices of treats and lollies. He found that he could get a wonderful stash of treats for just $2.50 so this was a highlight for him and his brother...as well as their cash strapped mother. I felt like I could spoil them a little and still have money in my pocket. A barrow of fire wood was $12.50 and had a selection of different size pieces, including a good number of hard wood blocks. We cooked two nights meals in our camp oven with one borrow and had a few bits left over. Buckets of kindling were available for $4 also. I didn't really need it but my children were looking for an excuse to go back and visit Joe at the kiosk so we got one.
The kiosk was stocked with all the bits and pieces that usually get forgotten when heading out camping. It was wonderful to know that Joe and Kate had you covered if you got stuck. I, myself, forgot all of our hats (mother of the year here). However it was not an issue and now we all sport a Darlington Park hat to keep us safe from the sun.
The bird feeding experience, held at 4 each day was spectacular. Rainbow lorikeets, galahs and cockatoos were all in attendance and would even perch themselves on your head, shoulder or finger as they nibbled away.
If we could have stayed for ever we would have. Our car obviously had the same thoughts, as when I went to start it it would not go... Flat battery (a certain young man had not shut a door properly the night before). Yet again though it was not a big issue as Joe valiantly came to the rescue with his jumper leads and unfortunately we had to head for home.
The love and respect that Joe and Kate show for both the park and patrons seems reciprocated by those who visit Darlington Park. Evenings were delightfully quite and peaceful as those camping chose to respect the noise restrictions put in place. It was also reassuring to see that a police wagon came out for a drive around to let their presence be known. Choosing to camp at Darlington Park was one of the best holiday decisions I have ever made. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Lovely place to camp by the Albert River. Firewood is cheap and there's firepits provided. Can get busy but there's lots of room so you never feel like you're packed in.
