Plenty of seating, decent portion food and taste is above average. Ordered fried fish with bee hoon soup, seafood horfun.
Fried fish is great, enough for small sharing, bee hoon soup is a tad bland though.
Seafood horfun, the "gravy" turns watery towards the end of the meal, seafood quantity is okay only.

Went to Winthrop Hawker's Cafe today and had the fish wing milky soup, Hainan chicken and laksa fish wing.

Fish wing soup was nice - barramundi fish wings were fresh and very big. The Hainan chicken was excellent. Laksa was solid make sure if you want the meehoon noodle in Laksa to ask for it!

A regular location for us and we have never been let down by the service , staff and food. An excellent range of food choices that never fails to satisfy. Get in early as it is very popular and often busy around lunchtime. When busy the seating is scarce but even then the food arrives in good time which is good as the aromatic food smells will have your stomach rumbling in anticipation.

Authentic Malaysian food. Gets busy but still reasonably quick. The kway teow was really good as was the radish cake - lo bak go. Don't forget to try the egg tarts.

got takeaway uber eats chai tow kway and fried kway teow and wow... so beautifully authentic, the rice cakes are juicy soft and saucy, and the fried noodles are flavoured just how they should be. cool that they give you a reusable bag! I'll definitely be back to try other dishes 😍

Food Is great- my go to is always the CKT and Laksa. But be prepared for rude customer service from the lady behind the counter. It also gets quite busy and loud. And you have to pay extra for every small addition (ie.. cut chillies, take away containers, take away bags). But food is relatively cheaper than other restaurants, so sort of justifies it

Latest edit: 15 Jun 22 - Food still amazing over the past years. Love their Fried Carrot Cake
& Chicken rice.

First time here due to Google reviews & Facebook recommendation from Malaysian Food Lover group... My wife & I are definitely NOT disappointed! Their Fried Carrot Cake is so tasty & authentic. Probably the best I've tasted in Perth so far 5/5. Seafood Hor Fun is pretty good too 4/5.

Their hot milk tea & Cold Coffee Cham are also pretty yummy 4.5/5. Loved it.

Overall I rate this place a solid 5/5. Their service are also prompt & approachable.

Btw they also sell rice dumplings ($3.50 each & it's value for money 4/5), pineapple buns (3/5), egg tarts (4.5/5) & cabbage buns (haven't tried) .

Dunno what those one star reviews (with only one review each? Even the guy with Japanese characters have the same surname with two of the others!) are talking about but the picture speaks for itself. Been coming here for couple of years now practically weekly and we love its CONSISTENCY. That’s what a lot of restaurants lack these days. Beef brisket noodles is my go to always and they’ve never served it tough but melt in your mouth tenderness with a hearty flavour. Highly recommended!

Came by for lunch with my Sis, and we left full and ready for a nap! Good sized portioned food, affordable and tasty. Great selection of Malaysian dish, dessert including. Casual ambience, with outdoor seating. Very friendly service and helpful staff members. Would love to come back to try for other things on the menu.

This is a quality Malaysian/Chinese restaurant. The servers were very friendly and helpful for deciding. We ordered the beef soup and ho fun which were especially nice and authentic. The ho fun was delicious and flavourful, rich and smooth. It is probably one of the best in Perth. The place also sells some pastries and kuehs that look very nice and I want to try in the future. I am definitely returning again :)

This is a nice place servicing the local community in Winthrop. The restaurant is run along the lines of an informal dining venue where customers go up to the counter to order their food, help themselves with cutlery and drinking water, and the waiting staff bring the dishes to the table when ready. The atmosphere is relaxed. The food is very reasonably priced, of good quality and the staff friendly and efficient. The lady at the counter, Melody, is always cheerful and helpful. She is a delightful character very much appreciated by many of her regular customers.

Our new fav place for fried kuey teow (beef). The place is sizeable but will get full in no time especially weekend. The food selection are plenty, rice dishes, soups, noodle and dessert.

Nice Hokkien mee, like the one they serve in Singapore. They serve drinks with syrup on the side so you can adjust the sweetness to your liking.

Our first visit didn’t disappoint. The food was comparable to any quality restaurant in Singapore / Malaysia. Malay style food is strongly represented. We had a small Rendang and Roti Canai, Char Kwai Teow and Roasted Pork and rice. Every dish was cooked to perfection in a busy open kitchen. Good Roti is hard to come by in Oz but this was the best I have eaten in this country. The place was packed at 2 pm on a Friday afternoon, which speaks volumes and despite the crowd, the meals came out quickly and served by friendly staff. Reasonable prices too and BYO no corkage so every post a winner. can’t wait to go back and sample the rest of the menu. I love these sort of places, no pretence, just good food.

I went for the brisket and tendon dry, ( it was a big serve and I got the extra noodles for $2.50 on top of it) better than any I've had in Hong Kong and as good as I've had at Causeway Point in Singapore when I went there with Wong Sahmui many years ago⁉👍👌first time for the pomegranate juice, not bad 👏👏👏loved it guys thanks very much.

The crowd is a testament to its good food and fast service. They have expanded from a humble shop to more than double its size now. Plenty of seats available indoors and outdoors but it can get busy. Several cooking staff so your food does get served relatively fast (15mins to 20mins). Airconditioned and the self service cold water is an added bonus especially in summer and when you're having that spicy laksa.

The Fried Kway Teow has that fragrant wok hey and crispy pork lard. Stop drooling guys! Their Facebook is updated regularly so check it out before heading down.

Michael and his spouse were graduated from universities in Hong Kong. Two years ago, they decided to change their professions and took over this restaurant business from Mr Sunny, the previous owner who and his brother had run this restaurant for nearly 28 years. Michael, the amicable owner, told me their experienced old chef specialised in both Teow Chew and Cantonese dishes. The house special dishes include Teow Chew braised beef combo and Cantonese braised beef brisket.
Anyway, the deep-fried mixed vege was crunchy and tasty. The fried carrot cakes with bean sprout and egg were a bit sweeter.
This restaurant has an outdoor new facelift.
By the way, I find Michael an artist too because he drew and designed his big nice postal hung up just beside the entrance to the restaurant. Amazing! Cheers! (2021-07)

We had a snack here. The egg tarts are so good! Crispy and melt-in-the-mouth crust with creamy egg centre. Yummy!
