Shimizu Cafe

Chanced by this place whilst craving Japanese food and expected it to be like the Shimizu at Watertown, which is good food. But we were blown away by how amazing the food was here. Service was slow but the lady kept us updated and it was worth the wait! We had the yakitori, donburi karaage chicken and beef teppan, all cooked to perfection.

Had an amazing Japanese food experience at this cozy cafe-restaurant! The quality of the food, portion size was great value. Ate here more than once and each time, food was very appetising and delicious no matter what new item on the menu I tried. Definitely worth a visit!

One of my favourite Japanese restaurant in Perth with nice and cozy ambient. Miso soup is perfect. My recommendations are to try Tiramisu Green tea desert and Donburi Chicken. They have also home delivery and staff is very friendly and helpful.

The food here is great! There's not much people dining here so it's quiet but the atmosphere is nice (dont know if it's the time or day but usually quiet every time i go). The food is fresh and taste delicious, definitely worth the price. The bento is the best!

Amazing food, we order at least weekly and finally dinned in last night. Love this place, top quality food, service and very consistent. Every aspect of the meal is top tier, even the rice alone is delicious. The chicken katsu ushi with avocado is the best I've ever had.

A cosy restaurant in the heart of Northbridge that offers a selection of comforting meals at an extremely affordable price.

After one trip months ago on a whim this place has fast become my partner and I's regular main spot for tasty, authentic Japanese meals.

Quite possibly one of the only places that delivers a delicious Teriyaki Unagi Donburi with all the texture and flavour you could want in a reasonable time.

No table service, but tables have QR codes for remote ordering or you can order at the register. Menu (mainly sushi) is subject to change in availability due to staffing but that cannot be helped.

If you live local, best bet's to order take-away using the same site. Get in early because online orders for this place almost never seem to stop.

The food here is always nice! A notch higher than over-priced high end japanese restaurants but without the high price tag. I have never been disappointed with any dishes here. They've even managed to make a typical mashed potato dish taste so awesome, probably the best mashed potato in Perth. More people should know of this hidden gem!

My partner and I came here for lunch and loved everything! The yakitori and cream croquettes were delicious. The ramen were amazing, the noodles just the right amount of chewy and the broth full of flavour. The only downside was I couldn't try everything in the menu in one sitting. Will be back soon!

My little kid loves this place, its her new favourite noodle hangout. Seriously , its pretty good Ramen - the pick up and on line flow is really easy . I love the packaging of the takeaways - the little details in each difffernt soup. Lots seriously cool things to chomp through in each dish. Reasonably priced. Parking is hell in that part of Northbridge though - but the effort's well rewarding.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Perth right now. I've visited several times with friends and always loved the food (particularly the miso ramen). They've got a huge range of authentic dishes - I'm slowly working my way through the menu! The staff are lovely and the prices are very reasonable. Thank you guys :)

So bloody good. Food here is full of flavour and the menu makes you want to order it all. Very nice and original selection of sushi and ramen/udon. I had the Tonkotsu Ramen and was ahhh delicious!!

Visited on a weekend for lunch. 'Miso Hungry for Salmon' Sushi which is their crumbed sushi was very unique. Kids loved the lotus chips which came in a very generous portion. The unagi on the a la carte menu said 'Huge serving' and it did not disappoint. That was one of our favourites. Definitely worth it to take the Bento option for all the extras. We had the number 1 roll. Yummy crunch. Also complete bento completely filled the stomach. Unagi eel was smooth & lubricant with omega oils. We liked the food & the friendly service. The horse radish was screaming up the nasal orifices. Bellisimo.

The food here is always amazing and so well priced. The staff are always friendly and always say goodbye when you leave. I love coming here and so to a lot of others now so will definitely start booking a table 😉

Muslim-friendly and delicious! The ramen broth is made from seafood, while the chicken and beef are from halal sources. Sauces here can be prepared without rice wine on request. The staff were also friendly and the venue is cosy! Will definitely come back again the next time we are in Perth 😋
