The Daily Grind

Great dining place for breakfast, lunch or even dinner. They serve murtabak, gado-gado, nasi lemak on Wednesday only and western meals too.
Curry puffs are available too at $3 per piece. Wish they serve hot drinks like Teh Tarik in near future. The lounge area is comfortable and lots of available seats if you come in groups.

Having Malaysia food in this lovely cafe, second time to order mee goreng(stir fried noodles), taste actually same in Malaysia, didn’t expect the food was quite nice😋, and we also ordered chicken satay, best ever had as well! Tender and juicy, very rich of peanut flavour, definitely will come back again🤩

Great little Cafe. We had the Nasi Goreng, butter chicken and fish & chips. All the meals were a great size and plenty of flavour in the butter chicken. Nasi Goreng was delicious asked for it hot and they delivered perfect amount of heat. Finished it off with a delicious slice of chocolate cake.

Great Thai food in Katanning. Good service, surprise find on way from Albany. Attached grocery has comprehensive range of Asian products that will fix cravings of typical South East Asians in Katanning.

Super quick coffee and good quality

Coffee was great. My husband had a muffin. He was asked if he wanted it warmed up and he said no. It was served warmed up.

Lovely little cafe. Grabbed a quiche on the way out of Katanning and it was incredibly tasty. I hope to have the opportunity to try some of the main meals on my future travels.

Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable. Decent selection of menu items, with some interesting twists such as rashers of beef instead of bacon (which I honestly quite prefer). Very nice lounge area in addition to the standard café seating in the main shop. Good for early mornings or pretty much any other time...

My mistake this great place is actually called "The Daily Grind" and its well worth going to. The coffee is great as is the curry..actually everything is great. Alep the manager is a really lovely man who does heaps for the town..go say hello..he always has a smile😊..even when the powers out the kettles always on👍

Great place for a coffee and a satay stick

Dropped in for breakfast this morning on the way to Perth and had a great coffee and a Beef Rendang that was absolutely sensational. Way better than the toasted sandwich I was thinking of for breakfast. The service was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Will definitely be back for more when I'm within 100km of Katanning. Highly recommended for an authentic rendang.

As the regional borders are opening on Monday, I'll be heading home. Thank you Katanning. I have enjoyed my stay here, especially the morning coffees! I look forward to seeing you again :)

Next time while your in Katanning stop here for meals /coffee etc, absolutely a great little comfortable cafe in the main Street of the town.Alep the owner/proprietor always has a happy greeting for his guests.
