Our visit to the Barossa Distilling Company during a winter evening was nothing short of captivating. What struck us immediately was the innovative use of shipping containers in its construction—a unique touch that set the tone for the entire experience.

Stepping inside, we were greeted by the remnants of the former distillery equipment, a nod to the company's history and dedication to its craft. But it wasn't just the ambiance that left an impression; it was the warmth and professionalism of the staff that truly made our visit memorable. Their friendly demeanor and wealth of knowledge made the gin tasting flight an absolute delight.

And speaking of gin, the offerings at the Barossa Distilling Company are truly exceptional. From dry gins to sweeter varieties, each sip was a revelation of flavor and craftsmanship. But what truly caught our attention was their Shiraz-infused gin—a clever nod to the discerning palates of Barossa's wine lovers.

Visiting at night added an extra layer of charm to the experience, with the cozy atmosphere inviting us to linger and savor every moment. As we savored our gin flight, we couldn't help but feel grateful for stumbling upon this hidden gem during our overnight stay in Barossa.

For anyone exploring the Barossa region, a visit to the Barossa Distilling Company is an absolute must. Whether you're a gin enthusiast or simply seeking a unique and memorable experience, you'll find it here for sure.

We came up from Melbourne as part of our wedding anniversary trip. The staff there were all super lovely and friendly. One of the guys know so much and he’s happy to share what he knows! It was one of the best tastings we had and I would highly recommend the Shiraz Gin with their dried orange.

Very friendly staff and great customer service. We had the 4 cocktail and 4 gin tasting paddles and had a fantastic time. Everything was clearly explained to us and we even got a complimentary tasting at the end. Great music and great vibe!!

Such a wonderful spot located right by penfolds. The staff are welcoming and accommodating and the gins are out of this world. Something for everyone’s palette, from dry gin to sweet. Their are often limited edition gins available so it’s a place worth revisiting. You can have a drink, or do a tasting. There’s a few tables inside and lots outside. Whilst they don’t have a food menu, a neighbouring restaurant offer a menu at Barossa distilling co to order from. Worth a visit! @kirbystaltari

We were welcomed by a lovely young lady, made to feel special & comfortable. Our lovely Hostess gave us menus. She explained about the Gin Flights & food available. On receiving our selection, she gave us background info and her personal insights on each and every gin. Explained how to get the best experience from sampling each one. She also provided written info on the best way to do the tasting. What a wonderful experience.. Lovely staff, excellent Gins ( we bought 4 bottles! ) we were made to feel special and would certainly recommend a visit.
Thanks so much

Awesome building, the old Penfolds distillery. Very well refurbished with plenty of gin options, pizza shop next to a Brewery. Everything you need in one spot. Tasting paddles are fun, informative and tasty. Highly recommend.

Great use of an old production building that still has original engineered distillery equipment in it. Plenty of parking and co-located with other food & wine outlets. Generations Gin and their new Whisky are the picks however the cocktail flight rates high according to our young adult. Friendly staff and they know their products well. Kudos to the owner for ensuring their passion is evident through the team in front of house

Absolutely loved this place. Frankie did a fantastic job running through the tasting plate and explaining the history of each gin. The process of tasting with each ingredient made it seem like you were tasting so much more than just gin. Taste it neat, add some ice, add the garnish followed by the tonic water. If wine is not your thing then attend this place and enjoy the gin.

Friendly and highly knowledgeable staff in regards to distillery and gin pairings. Barossa Distilling and Tasting Room does a phenomenal job at illustrating the complexities of their gin as well as how to enhance their different gins through the addition of blood oranges, mint, strawberry etc.

A fun change up to all the wine on my bike tour.
