Honestly such a gem today, what a relief to stumble across this. Great location and atmosphere. The man who served us showed fantastic warm service, one of the best customer service experiences I've had recently.
The cannoli, cold pressed juices and the quality of the food was great.
A very safe place to eat and enjoy a local attraction.

A hidden gem in Collingwood!

This milk bar is the best place to stop for a coffee before work. The coffee is amazing! And the owner is really lovely, he remembered my very annoying iced coffee order only after coming in once.

He also treats you like a good mate of his. So if you want to go somewhere with a fun, friendly, and relaxing atmosphere before you start your work day, then this is the place to go!

I initially walked right by this eatery and I’m so glad I went back to satisfy my curiosity. Not only some very delicious breakfast and lunch offerings but the only place outside the South Melbourne Market where you can get South Melbourne Spring Rolls! Everyone has the South Melbourne Dim Sims but this place has both! And if the international cuisine doesn’t grab you, Robbie, the proprietor, will!! Robbie is such a warm and friendly guy that I had to dine in. My only disappointment was that I only discovered this gem on the last day of my 2 week Collingwood visit. I want to come back to this suburb just so I can eat at Gipps St Canteen

Love this place! best spot to grab a coffee and take away lunch on a work break. Staff are lovely and extremely charismatic.

Reminds me of the milk bars of yesteryear. I had a cheese burger and for $12 I enjoyed a large burger with very high quality ingredients. Much thought has been put into the construction of the burger, so all the flavours worked very well together. I will be back 😀😀😀

This place small but really awesome. Such a huge variety of food and drink to choose from. Everything is fresh and tasty. Friendly fast service with a smile. Try the chilli oil. Can recommend the burgers and chips. Yumm

Been working in the area for a while and I am kicking myself I haven’t tried it earlier. The guy behind the counter is a legend, the food is unreal and fresh and very affordable. 100% recommend. My new lunchtime treat spot. Had the Chicken Chirizo wrap. Amazing.

I got a turnover sandwich from here and felt so cosy and homely while I waited. The man who served me was very happy and made me feel welcome. The sandwich was so damn big and full of flavour, it kept me going all day. Very satisfied 😀

It felt friendly and casual, service with a smile.
The food was delicious and the coffee was great.

Love this place! My partner and I always pop in when we are down Gipps St. Such a big range of food and it’s all so tasty. The staff are lovely and the coffee is awesome 👏

I’ve only had the burgers here but my good they are fantastic. The quality is out standing and the staff are absolute legends.

The only downside about going on Christmas break is that I won’t get an opportunity to eat at Gipps street canteen until I’m back from holidays. I’d give this place more then a 5 if I could.

Popped in this morning for the first time to grab a quick bite. The mini breakfast sandwich was probably the best I’ve had. Raw Green smoothie was also delicious. Super friendly service too! Can’t wait to come back.

Incredible burger. Our usual was closed and we found this on Uber Eats by accident. I love my burgers and holy cow this blew me away.

Crispy buttered bun, delicious spicy sauce and a well seasoned patty.

This will replace our usual for sure.

$12 for a bacon/egg/cheese roll and a can of coke. Good price, good size, great relish on the roll, good service from the lads working. Would absolutely recommend for a quick lunch, and if the coffee is half as good as the food it’ll be a knockout too.

Went nearby for a 2 week placement, and found this store, came almost everyday during the time! Exceptional burgers, amazing people, definitely worth all your money spent here :) will miss this place when I'm done with placement for sure.
