Brioche by Philip

This bakery is best in town, French and Japanese fusion. It has plenty to choose from, warm and cold. Always fresh and presented well. Great for office lunch. Coffee is good, too.

Fantastic pastries and baked goods and great coffee ☕. This is a favourite to drop into whenever I'm in Melboure. A large, strong latte (or two) and a white chocolate Bronut is the perfect breakfast to get you fired up for the day, love this place !

Delicious pastries and bread ( I love their raisin and orange peel bread) Very friendly Korean staff too^^ . I do wish they have longer opening hours though.

Biggest cinnamon donut ever. Absolutely delicious. It's one of those good donuts where the dough is bread-like. Yum!

One of only a few open Sunday morning in the CBD. The coffee is on point & they have a great selection of well priced pastries. Service with a smile also. Highly recommended!!

Delicious chocolate croissant and pear danish, the latte was really good as well. Reasonably priced with two pastries and two large take away coffees totalling $18.00. The young women working there were pleasant, helpful and efficient. I would certainly visit Brioche by Philip again.

When Roger Ebert reviewed Tampopo he said "it's a bemused meditation on human nature in which one humorous situation flows into another offhandedly, as if life were a series of smiles."

So it is with Brioche. Well..not sure about the humorous part, but the 'series of smiles'.. absolutely yes.

The staff at Brioche give you that warm 'ray of light' vibe in an ,all too often, cold world.

This place is easily my favourite cafe in the CBD. The service is great as efficient, the sweet as savoury pastries are all delicious (though the baguettes are a little hard to eat), and they make terrific matcha lattes. I especially enjoyed the month where they were doing the Kumamoto-chan mascot as latte art. 👌 I love this place because you can go by yourself or with a big group and there is always somewhere to sit.

I love this spot both for their unique pastries and their fulfilling yet affordable toasties (made even better as part of a coffee combo). Staff are always lovely as well. If you're in the city and after a treat, you can't pass up this spot.

Incredible doughnut and friendly customer service team. The donut would not disappoint any dessert lover as they fill the inside with an abundance of flavourful filling!

I can't speak highly enough of Brioche by Philip. I've been here a couple of times and on every single visit the staff are friendly and welcoming. The interior is nice as well. But most importantly, the bread and pastries are out of this world delicious. Prices are pretty much the same as some other 'fancy' bakeries, or even cheaper in some case, but everything is always fresh and tasty. I'm sure everything here is good, but the bronuts, sourdough bread and brioche bread (unsurprisingly) are especially worth trying. Highly recommended

Yae makes a perfect Flat White, up there with the best in the city. Had a coffee at 10 and was back 2 hours later for another. Toasties are great too. I'll go out of my way to come here next time I'm working in the city. Thanks Yae!

What i ordered: hot skinny latte and hot matcha latte

I’m picky when ordering matcha as some cafes do offer it but aren’t good! This one tasted authentic! The coffee is also good, well priced and lady serving was friendly and smiley! Would def come back.

Good pastries at reasonable price, perfect for a morning/ afternoon treat!

I really enjoyed my lunch here today. A delicious fresh hot tuna toastie and a cappuccino for $12. The staff were really friendly and service was fast. It's a comfy spot if you want to settle in for a bit of work on your laptop or to read a book.
♿ Footpath dining and takeaway are step-free. 4 steps down to the dining area. 🚾 Gendered toilets (free) available right next door, but not suitable for wheelchair users.

My go to coffee shop for a reason. Been going here for 2 years. Super friendly staff, they really go above and beyond sometimes and is so nice. They take care with the coffee. Especially lately, every coffee I've had has been super smooth and I'm really impressed. I think the key is to go at quieter times so the barista has more time to take the coffee slow. I really like the coffee here because it's more that traditional style, not the fruity acidic style.

Drank coffee with a group in the room downstairs. The coffee was great and there's quite a bit of space to sit and talk.
