This is a non profit winery runner by professionals but owned by the Jesuits. It is just a short ride from the bike trail so definitely a must. Great wine! But most of all beautiful grounds. The church is close by too and has lots of history worth it to visit!

Just an amazing historical place with lovely walk through past historic building and underground cellar, old-vine vineyards, St Ignatius of Loyola Shrine and St Aloysius’ Church with its crypt

Beautiful place with a long history and great customer service. Cycled 5 km along the Riesling trail to get there which was fun. We did wine tasting, bought a bottle of red wine and some souvenirs. Would love to visit again.

A wonderful historic winery to visit in the Clare Valley. Wonder around the beautiful grounds and have a glass or two of their great wine on the lawns.

It was 30 minutes till closing time but still they gave me a chance to try for a wine tasting, still they got energy to entertain me. It was a quick one, even though still happy and excited to go home and sip with my Sevenhill Reisling wine😊Be back next time for more longer time.

We visited Sevenhill Winery while in the Clare Valley. We found the staff helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We weren't rushed through out tasting, and enjoyed our time there. Highly recommended a visit to them

A great spot, with an amazing history. Staff were friendly and helpful and the wine tasting was a lot of fun. Bought a couple of wines and had a look around the historic site.
Beautiful shaded lawns would be an amazing picnic spot.

This is a highlight. The wines, especially the older reds, were fabulous. There is a small tasting fee. Make sure you spend time exploring the grounds, historic and beautiful.

Fantastic wine tasting thanks to Tanika (sorry if that’s not right). Lovely experience and fantastic lawns to enjoy your favourite tipple. Recommend the Jim Barry Shiraz

Sevenhill Cellars.
Source: Sevenhill Cellar website's History.
"While the origins of Sevenhill Cellars date back to the mid-nineteenth century, its roots run much deeper and go all the way back to the 16th century when a young Spanish courtier called Inigo, eventually swapped a life of violence for one dedicated to helping others and co-founded the religious order we know today as the Jesuits.

He mistakenly thought the Latin translation of his name was Ignatius and hundreds of years later, the more well-known St Ignatius has stuck fast."

As you walk through the cellar you will be transported to Inigo's época.

Don't miss this visit and a great wine.
