Timboon-Camperdown Rail Trail - START

Such a beautiful, magical trail! Little slice of heaven with forest-lined path and wildflowers.

Great ride, may get a few leeches if you leave the trail to get a good photo of the trestle bridges, there is plenty of great scenery

Not an easy run

People get funny don't they, about land they love. Familiar. Have history to and with. The territorial impulse to be so patriot or proud, 🤔softens with a decades older line of sight, which is a good thing for me personally citizens and good people, because ; am at the nice over fifties time where, I only want to share , not defend , my experience now.
And not about anything other than being a loving and supportive person with my knowledge. Timmy, is lovely.

I remember when we used to run goods trains from Geelong to Timboon. It was a lovely and slow run in the train when you got off the mainline. I imagine it's a nice run on the bike too. A few hills and lots of bends. Pitty there's no trains anymore, even tourist trains into the town would be brilliant for the area and town itself.
