Camp Cooriemungle

An unexpectedly amazing experience. We were scrambling to find a campsite and decided to try this spot. We were warmly welcomed by Nicole who was very sweet and accommodating. Would highly recommend if you need a space to camp near the great ocean road!

What an awesome place! We stopped over for 2 nights in our caravan and had the place to ourselves. Our host (Nicole) was lovely and let us camp by the waters edge. The grounds have various historic buildings (its an old prison farm) and its beautiful to wonder around (as no one else was there)...our girls rated it as their best stay yet! Thank you.

What a lovely time we had at Camp Cooriemungle. The owners were lovely and accommodating. We stayed in the Governors House, which had plenty of space, lounge/dinning, bathroom, kitchenette (no oven) and bedroom. We shared with our kids who were in the bunk and us in the double bed - same room. Cosy and comfortable.

The lounge has a very small tv screen, which we watched a couple of DVDs on, family movie night was a hit with plenty of options at the house and from the games room

There was ample for the kids to do, games room, including pool, air hockey, plenty of board games and outdoor play equipment including ball games, commando course - we were also allowed to use the Archery set which the kids enjoyed.

As the Governors House was not allowed to have an oven we had access to the commercial kitchen and dinning area - so felt very much like a school camp. The kitchen had everything you might need to cook a delicious meal. BBQ was just outside the back door.

The site itself has a lot of history and great to hear that over time the prisoners cabins will be restored.

We only stayed two nights and really had the place to our selves.

We look forward to returning and enjoying the site and the surrounds.

Nicole & Brent were lovely and really go above and beyond. Great camping experience with unique prison cabins, tent/ caravan space, decent bathrooms and allow dogs.

absolutely loved it. owners are very hospitable and lovely. their dog is also really cute and friendly. nice area. definitely recommend.

Great affordable family accomadtaion from fully self contained cottages, dorm style bunkhouses to family rooms. There large dam for fishing swimming canoe, commercial kitchen and dining, recreational room with kitchen, large hall with movie projector and generous deck for entertaining.

Awesome weekend. My three kids loved the activities. Older kids enjoyed the extra space to hang out in the REC hall with friends. Food was awesome! Very helpful friendly staff to help with individual requests for diet, activities or sleeping requirements like changing mattress for individual needs. Our cabin had space for two adults and three children. Having a cabin was a better option than setting up our tent during winter. Affordable for groups from all ages. Thank you!

Wonderful location, beautiful surroundings with friendly experienced staff!

The host is very friendly and hospitality. The land is huge and there are a few facilities for visitors, such as canoe and archery. They provide microwave, stove, and other kitchen appliances. Shower is available as well. Very good camp site.
10/each person for a night without power, highly recommended

Bloody great place to bring the kids and let them get involved in the activities that the staff organise everyday. Been close to the coast to see all the great spots down the coast and surrounding areas .The staff great they accommodate for all your needs and go above and beyond for the guests .A big thank you the the staff for a fantastic holiday with the kids after a long lockdown .
