A great theatre to see your favourite movie. Several separate theatres and each are small seat numbers with very comfortable seating and great leg room.

Part of the Palace Cinemas chain, located in the basement level of Collins Place. All screens are small apart from two main theatres that hold about 200 each. Offers coffee, cake and usual cinema snacks and always has great service.
Cheap day all day on a Monday too. Highly recommended and great selection of films

I love all Palace cinemas, but this one is special, really. Staff are professional, the venue is clean, and the air temperature is pleasant. Most importantly, the seats are comfy, and sound quality is good.

I have been hosting a cinema club based at Kino for the last 8 years seeing over one hundred movies in that time.

Happy hour pints, your choice of wine glass size, cheap tickets on Mondays, and friendly staff who like the movies as much as I do.

Here's hoping for another 8 years at Kino.
(It's a private cinema club, we have no commercial relationship with Kino/Palace)

Gorgeous little hidden gem of a cinema that I will always try and visit when I am in Melbourne. The screens are small but cosy, the staff are really fantastic too, I love them, so friendly. Clean cinemas (unlike Westgarth) and excellent sound and visual quality. No complaints at all about this cinema I look forward to returning.

A great cinema for indie or international films. (For blockbusters, you're better off going to Village, Hoyts or IMAX) The location of the cinema is truly unique. The staff are nice and the atmosphere was comforting inside the theatre. I also loved the board filled with reviews of many films that they put up in Cinema 8, it shows how much passion that the workers or managers have for movies and the cinema itself. This was a unique cinema experience. My only grudge were the prices being a bit too expensive for someone who isn't a premium member.

Nice sized cinema to view the film, One Life, last night and silently cry in the dark at the phenomenal story, and of course, the stellar performance of Sir Anthony Hopkins.

Definitely didn’t regret pre-purchasing tickets as there was quite a long queue for the box-office. 6pm session was a good choice as well as I could make the most of the 4-7pm Weekday Happy Hour. Cheers for the good experience

Kino cinema is part of the Palace cinema network, and the only one in Melbourne Downtown that shows film festival movies all year round. In the past few months, I've watched Italian film festival, Japanese film festival & British Film Festival movies here. I love Kino cinema for its casual atmosphere & comfortable seats. Tip: you can bring in your own drinks and snacks 🥰

Watched past lives in cinema 2. Seats are extremely comfortable and spacious, sound and picture are great, overall a fantastic experience. Tickets are cheap on mondays ($7) and wednesdays ($9). Definitely recommend visiting kino instead of hoyts or crown

My girlfriend and I love the way they serve wine; the glasses are marked for a standard, double, or epic feature.

We hadn't been here begore. Love the reclining seats in the back row. Perfect for relaxing back with a sparkling beverage to watch a movie

Nice bar space out front, never over-crowded, cinemas always clean and, while not quite an art house venue, there are always good movies on.

Arthouse films, something different from the usual "bang bang" tire squeeling mainstream. There ARE movies beyond Hollywood and this is one place to see them. European, UK films make it to this place... Many theatres, nice ambience, good info on the movies, reviews etc... All pinned up on the walls.

Take your food n drinks in with you, I think the liability lawyers haven't yet scared the management into prohibiting that again... But they might be working on it 😜😉,😙😎.

Comfortable little cinemas. Very clean and well maintained. Service was excellent, and you can bring drinks into the cinema. What more could you want?

Love going on a Monday where they do $10 tickets. Modern classic cinemas, lots of space, cup holders, food and drink options and friendly staff. A great vibe, everyone is there to have a fun time.
