I recently took my late father’s vintage 12 string guitar to them to help with a set up and some minor repairs. This guitar has very sentimental meaning for me and I was nervous taking it in, but clearly they take pride in their work and did a great job. They even told me a few things about the guitar and where it most likely originated from which was really cool. Unfortunately I can’t share this story with my dad but it was nice moment for me, and to hear a little about this instrument that he loved so much that Im privileged own and play. Overall, a really positive experience and couldn’t be happier.

I am from Qld and purchased a lovely semi-hollow guitar online. The staff were so accommodating of my requests for extra pictures, truss rod report and pickup serial numbers. They were happy to chat about the guitar and were really knowledgeable. The guitar was packed brilliantly and shipped to rural Qld in perfect shape. Great people and great business! Thanks again!!

Awesome shop. I've had all my guitars serviced and set up by these guys and they've come up great. Very friendly and honest and also knowledgeable with guitars. Especially with vintage ones. Always have a great selection of cool and unique guitars. My go to shop.

Absolute legends. I snapped a machine head on a left-handed strat over the weekend. I desperately called every shop in the area trying to find a left-handed machine head that'd fit with no luck. These guys found a tuner that fit, installed it, ordered me a correct replacement part, and had me out the door in about 10 minutes flat. Really helped me out. Will definitely be a regular customer!

Visited with a friend in a wheelchair to look at buying him a guitar.The staff member was accommodating,friendly and very helpful.Will definitely be back to purchase one of the gems they had in the shop and wish more guitar shops were on this level.Highly recommended.

Wow. Just Wow. Did not know that they didn’t just do one string repairs- but James was happy to just do it.
So friendly, welcoming and chilled; which is how a music store should be. I have been going to another one for years but the vibe just not there anymore. Next time I’ll break all the strings, just to be able to come back for conversation, chill and hang out.

This place is great. After I tried to install my own pickups (without success) southside sounds were able to come to my rescue and fix the problem. If you're looking for any kind of setup, repair or installation on your guitar then yes, I can't recommend this place enough.

Professional expertise, great price, friendly and impeccable service.

Also, browsing through the cornucopia of vintage guitars displayed around the shop was pretty awesome. Definitely will return when I bodge up my next mod or need a proper setup 😅. She plays beautifully! Thanks a million Max!
