Had a beautiful meal here. The service was great, the location lovely but the food was best of all. Atmosphere better than it was twelve months ago. Amazing meal, thanks.

Great owners, great locals, great meals, great accommodation. Bed comfy, shower hot and good pressure. Beautiful surroundings and architecture. One of the best little towns I've been to.

Rooms are off the main road, spotlessly clean and recently renovated. We expected humble but were so pleasantly surprised given the reasonable price we paid. Pub was warm, welcoming and great pub grub - best corn beef I’ve had for ages! On the train line from Melbourne and great central point for goldfields area We loved it!!!

We sat outside in the beer garden! Lovely evening..service excellent quick as well! The food was delicious! We had the lamb cutlets and fresh cooked vegetables delicious. Will come again!

Fantastic meals, superlative service, super friendly people, most excellent house made beer (that tastes like beer).
Truly recommended if you want a great value country meal, not pretense, just amazing food.

A nice cosy place for a meal. We had the lamb roast and was really nice. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This is our first time at the pub even though we don't live too far. Will definately come back.

Old style country pub.. lovely homey feeling.... Withbeautiful friendly staff. We decided on delicious, generous servings, of flat head tails, chips & salad. As well as ( from the specials board) the prawn & scallop risotto Can't wait until we pass through again!

Great people, drinks & feed. Generous portions & good old fashioned customer service. The beer garden out the back is a hidden treasure & dog friendly 👍👍👍

We used Malmsbury Hotel to feed 63 fire fighters and the service provided was excellent and the meals were beautiful and still steaming hot when we got them to the site. They also provided meals for night shift crews with special snack packs which were also excellent. Thanks to Anda, David and team for wonderful stress free service. George.

Restaurant looks like it hasn't been touched in years and maintains a great, old school feel. Food was brilliant. High end pub grub. Friendly, efficient service.

Been a long time since I've been due to covid. Gotta recommend you try the Malmsbury Draught on tap. Smooth as beer around.
I'm looking forward to another visit for a feed next chance I can get.

Cold beer and clearly a talented chef in the kitchen. Welcoming and friendly staff. Very happy to see the new owners have made so many positive changes.

Set in the Heart of the small quiet town a hop skip and jump too the bakery, chemist, poast office general store the Botanical gardens Pizza to even the pub you can chose from a room with just a bed and shower toilet area along with fridge TV and kettle toaster or you can chose a room with more than one bed spar bath also lounge table chairs toilet and shower beaut full people lovely setting peace and quiet and well with in the budget but u got to try it before u can experience a quiet get away 🏃‍♀🏃‍♂😉

The new owners have already added a lot of TLC to this cosy little place. Still has a great chef and lovely country atmosphere. Feels welcoming to everyone. It's only a bit over an hour up the Calder freeway from Melbourne CBD and so perfect for a Sunday lunch getaway. Go and try the Marma Parma (aka Princess Parma) delish! We'll be back for a weekend visit to explore Malmsbury a bit more and to see what else David and Anda do with the place.
