Excellent performance here. I came on a sunny autumn day which was neither too hot nor too cold. Airplanes from Australia, USA, Japan, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries are available on the Australian International Airshow. There are also plenty of food and drink options. You could buy the golden pass for closer look of the show.

Always an amazing week/weekend for aviation enthusiasts. Lots of both static and flying displays, with weekdays for the industry and Fri-Sun for general public.

Notes: there is plenty of food available on site and everything is very well organized. Given the size of the event, driving in can nevertheless be a pain so get in early. And I mean early; entering grounds 30-60min before opening and the ride should be mostly smooth.

First time attending this Airshow and what a marvellous experience. We attended Friday afternoon/evening and all Saturday. Arriving around 3pm Friday afternoon no problems with parking or getting to the venue. We did run/walk super quick when it finished to get out asap.

Even with all the time we spent there, we still didn’t have time to see all the sites. Airshow schedule was non stop full of amazing sights and very exciting to have seen it all.

Korean Black Eagles were spectacular to watch, amazing they continued their show for 30mins. A lot of photos and videos taken.

The feeling of the fighter jets so close and feeling the roar through your body, fabulous experience.

We found the venue had so much room at the show to sit and watch, we never felt cramped into a spot, even with Saturday being sold out. Definitely recommend to take a folding up camping chair, hat, wind jacket and lots of sun cream. Wind picked up in the afternoon. They did have water stations so easy to refill our bottles. Give yourself plenty of time to get there leaving early and be patient.

Such a fabulous experience and so glad we did it. Air Force were brilliant loved seeing their patient talking to everyone and handling out collectable plane pins for the lanyards. Great idea and good keepsake.

Been wanting to go all my life and finally went with the kids this year. Totally worth every cent. We went on Friday which seems to have been the best day traffic wise. 30mins to get in from the freeway which I think is acceptable and only 10 mins to get out at the end. I couldn’t believe it. I feel sorry for those who spent 3-4 hours to get in on the weekend!

Seeing and hearing the planes was phenomenal. Kids loved every minute of it (8,6&4). Personally didn’t use ear protection, wasn’t any long periods of loud noise. Definitely need them for the kids though. Fireworks display at the end was next level. Thought it was amazing. Wall of flames was okay… bit of a let down finale though… at least get a F35 to fly low over it when it goes off!

Lastly you’d think for an Airshow that happens not so often they could avoid domestic flights for a weekend though. Pretty frustrating that it was delayed 40 odd minutes at the end due to another jet star departure.

Next time I’ll be doing a 2 or 3 day pass as I didn’t get a chance to look at much else other than the flying program. Just couldn’t look away. Oh and make sure you have deep pockets for food… best to bring your own!

Best show. No words to explain. Have to experience live. Will definitely go again. Worth every penny you spend. Special thanks to organisers. V/line has done good job organising transportation facilities.

Amazing day out - even if you are not into planes! Definitely recommend going on Friday afternoon and staying on for the night show - complete with fireworks at the end. Don't worry about getting out of the car park at the end as the roads get switched to one way to ensure the traffic moves quickly.

Worth a look, been to a number of Air Shows over the last 27 years. Lots to see, the army guys love a chat, they are great guys and gals. Stay for the night shows, it's fantastic. Get there as early as possible, heading to the event at 5am in the morning is worth it. Allow a whole day. Buying tickets at the gate is more wise in case unexpected weather issues. Take an umbrella, might sound silly but hot sun or rain not good, take ear plugs if freak out about loud explosions. 2019 decided not to go, summer weather was far too hot. Will try make it to the next event in 2 years weather permitting. 5 stars

Amazing experience. Plan to leave super early, the roads get chokkas, (aim to be there 8.30am from your location, you might get in early but you’ll get in at least)
Bring ear muffs and comfy camp chairs. Be prepared for hot weather. BYO foox and drink as options limited

If you're at all interested in aviation, defence, a career in the forces, or even just an exciting day out, you have to visit the Australian International Airshow, the world's 4th biggest airshow! There is simply too much stuff to see and do in a day.
If you buy a gold pass, you get a stadium seat, early access on Friday so you are able to talk to the defence folks at their stalls and a carpark.
The next one in 2021 will be huge as it'll be the RAAF's centenary!

Best airshow ever. Best $50 I've ever spent. So many planes here, it was incredible. The displays they put on were just insane. Highly recommend to any air enthusiast.

2023 Event itself is great but organisation of the Friday night car park exiting was completely non-existent. Lighting was ok but no exit signs/arrows and/or barriers to control traffic flow, at all and no personnel to direct /manage traffic flow. Got to car at 9.45 pm and took 1.75 hrs to get to the carpark exit. Many others would have taken longer. Twice took verbal abuse and threatened violence from apes in clothes who refuse to acknowledge the 'rules' on merging. The 'free' buses to and from the event were for people with Vline tickets. If you live locally, it would have been quicker to walk home in the total dark

I’ve just been to Avalon Airshow this year and usually the travel time from my home to this airport is usually about 45 minutes,

But in the air show event that 45 minutes ended up at around 2 hours because of traffic chaos. And same as heading out of the air show back to my home.
