We had a lovely time at Home Grown on Piper. The staff were so friendly and accommodating of my dietary requirements. The food and drinks were delicious (I had the prawn bowl and a banana smoothie and my husband had the spicy smashed avo and an iced coffee). We enjoyed the food so much that I forgot to get a photo! We dine here every time we visit Kyneton and look forward to coming back again.

Love this place, it’s my go-to cafe whenever I’m in Kyneton. This morning I had the Vegan Breakfast with an egg and it was amazing!! I’m not a vegan, and this dish is so satisfying and tasty. See pic below of the size and quality of the produce.

The carrot hummus and the nut button on the avocado are just super tasty.

The staff are also great. Always happy and friendly.

Very authentic homely garden style property,

Such happy birds in the sunny weather in neighbouring garden,

Lovely service,

We had a delightful lassi & summer smoothie.

And Turkish eggs,
Prawn bowls,
And salmon bowl :)

Delicious !

Very filling :)

The black rice needed more liquid to soak it up.
Maybe more yoghurt /
Hummus/
Something to absorb it.

Yet to order cuppa & cake!

Looked forward to this booking for weeks.

Thankyou homegrown.

We stayed at Spring Hill for the weekend and on our way home, we stopped for Mother’s Day Brunch at Home Grown on Piper. It had a cozy and welcoming ambiance. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was fantastic. I’m a meat lover so I ordered Rosita’s Beef Panrolls which I loved. That said, I also loved the All About Autumn vegan dish that my husband ordered. My daughter loved the Salami Turkish Bread and my son was happy with his kids’ burger. Would drop by here again during our next visit to Kyneton.

Home grown on Piper has delicious coffee ( with your usual milk alternatives including lactose free ) and scrumptious food served by a team of staff offering great service.

There is a paddock to plate philosophy with a lot of food prepared from the owners farm located with the Macedon Ranges.

It could be classified as. “Whole foods “ type cafe with en emphasis on locally sourced produce.

Everything was perfect. We ate the Big Breakfast Vegan and it was delicious, especially the beetroot hummus. Also, the double chocolate raspberry brownie and the peanut butter date cookies were fabulous. We want to come back soon.

So glad we discovered this unassuming but delightful cafe. Particularly impressed with the caution exercised around gluten free dietary options. The staff were attentive and eager to please. We really enjoyed our light meal (my coeliac wife said the pancake was the best she had ever had!), the coffee was also great. We will definitely be making this a regular stop when we go to Kyneton.

Hands down, the best vegan food in the area! Will come back to Kyneton just for the food in THIS cafe. The service was great too, super polite and friendly.

This is a lovely cafe which is quite busy even on a Thursday. I had the vegan version of the Green Galore which has a lot of favours and the serving portion is generous. The service is fast and staff are attentive. I would like to come again to try other yummy vegan dishes

After my first visit 10 months ago, I am happy to report that the food is still wonderful. I have tried another vegan dish- mushroom madness and it it fantastic as well!

Soooo happy we decided to detour from our visit to The Garden of St Erth in Blackwood and make it here for a late Sunday lunch.
The cafe is dinky & so cute, with pavement seating at the front and courtyard seating in a charming rear garden.
Food was EXCEPTIONAL. My friends & I had the baked eggplant with saffron rice etc, the dhal with kale salad & roti and the beetroot tart - they all looked amazing and the flavours! OMG!
Service was awesome.
Music - maybe some cool jazz?
I’m coming back for more….

One of the best meals we have ever eaten. I had the all day breakfast and my partner had Dahl. Everything sustainable and free range. Drive to Kyneton especially. Don't miss this one!

With such an exciting and interesting menu, we had high hopes for the brunch here after staying at the beautiful mini farm in Metcalfe where most of the produce is sourced. It did not disappoint. We all loved our Sri Lankan-leaning dishes and agreed it was one of the best brunches we’d had in a long time. Loved how they stayed all the local providers they use and stock and the courtyard was lovely. Will be back next time we’re in Kyneton!

Beautiful place - lovely courtyard & staff - my meal was delicious, the Greens Galore. I love that the vegan option has a swap, rather than just removing items. Worth the trip from Melbourne.

Note that I am going to get a sweet in return for posting a review, but it’s still an honest review.

Friendly service, fair price menu, ample seating and good food. Opens to later hours and not as expensive as other cafes. Soup of the day was the perfect companion to a chilly autumn afternoon. Coffee was a fruity pure blend. Peanut butter cookie was one of the best cookies I've ever had.

Came here a few days ago while staying at Rob and Gunilla’s bungalow on their organic farm - absolutely loved it!

We shared the signature greens galore & stuffed eggplant curry - was a genuine delight and as fresh as it can get.

Didn’t leave a scrap on the plate, 10/10 😊

We travel from Melbourne to Kyneton, specifically to visit this cafe. So good and our dachshund Coco loves it too.
We can't keep away, returning this Saturday morning for breakfast and your glorious coffee & chai latte.
