My son was so pleased to find a local haberdashers. I was at his home hemming curtains and needed more thread. The thought of going to a large retailer was not appealing. He said your store was “a real find so close to him.” We will be back. Sewing is an art form that needs to be treasured. Thanks for making it possible.

I am so glad I found this shop. They have a great range of quality fabrics and interesting deadstock, including hard-to-find tencel, a good stash of remnants, the kind of quality interfacing I haven't found anywhere else, and their haberdashery range has pretty much everything you need. But the best part is the 11/10 service and advice from Steph. She's helped make sewing even more enjoyable for me.

Lovely staff and well-curated selection of fabric. I got some very cute japanese cotton for my pants (see photo) and a beautiful berry jersey for my next Alabama Chanin project. Very happy with my purchases!

I absolutely adore this shop! The owners are so helpful, warm, and passionate about sewing, and give such useful advice for your projects. The fabrics, patterns and notions they sell are fantastic quality, and they give detailed care/washing instructions for fabrics, too. Can’t recommend Fabric Deluxe enough - truly a gem of the west 💎

I had to find some sustainable fabric for an assignment at Tafe. The staff member helped me find what I needed and answered all my questions. She was very helpful and friendly. The shop is nicely set out and not all cluttered. It is a very welcoming space.

My Mum and I travelled to Melbourne from Perth for the sole purpose of buying fabric and Fabric Deluxe was on our list of spots to hit. Getting there was easy, just a train ride and a short walk away. The shop is light, bright and neat. Don't be fooled by its small size, there are SOO many beautiful fabrics, notions and patterns to be found. Mum and I spent over an hour fossicking and left with bags full of goodies. The owner was such a lovely soul. So friendly and helpful. Would I visit Fabric Deluxe again next time we're in Melbourne? Oh my goodness YES!! And so should you 😊

Beautiful store run by an awesome mother and daughter team. They are so helpful and knowledgeable. I have great fun going in and choosing my next project, picking fabric and even bringing back my half finished project for advice on fit and adjustment. They have beautiful fabric with a wide range. Visiting the store is always a lovely experience.

This jewel box of a fabric store is tucked on an unassuming street in Footscray, but is an absolute treasure trove of high quality fabrics at very reasonable prices. The staff are all very knowledgeable about their products and very helpful. If you can't make the trip to the physical store, their online store is also well laid out and has good photos of the fabrics from different views so you get a real sense of what you're buying. An absolute must-visit for any fabric fan!
