I'm not sure what the one star rating is talking about! Just had the best fried rice and penang curry !! The meat just melted in your mouth. Staff were lovely and service was prompt. Thanks for a great date night x

visited tom phat a few weeks ago and again last saturday night for my birthday dinner. everyone who joined me has had nothing but positive feedback about this restaurant. we will definitely be returning soon. the service, food, drinks and atmosphere was incredible. i would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an intimate yet cosy place to enjoy a night out with friends or family over food and drinks. 10/10!

Was looking for quaint, authentic and soulful dine out with my family to celebrate an occasion. Chanced upon this south east asian eatery in Brunswick. At first glance, it looked nice and we decided to give it a go.
Started off with a few drinks (Thai whisky sour, ho chi mint and lychee lime soda) along with the Bkk fried chicken, pork baos and kung pao cauliflower. The vegetarian in the family was mighty impressed with the kung pao cauliflower and even loved the vegan dipping sauce that came with the pork baos.
I was enjoying my Thai whisky sour and baos while the kids ran through the fried chicken in an instant. Then came the mains, pad see ew, pad ka prao and choo Chee curry. Each of them packed with flavour. They were well cooked, flavoursome, nicely presented and had good portions (we had to carry some left overs back) . For dessert we ordered Chinese donuts and sticky coconut rice with mango. They were at par with the mains and not overly sweet. It was a well spent dining experience that ticked all the boxes. Ambience, taste and service.
Will revisit soon! And this time we will remember to click some photos before polishing off everything

We got the 6-dish taster menu, we were given the choice to request based on our preferences but we said to surprise us. Everything we got was unreal. They also had a great playlist that had us trying to Shazam every song.

A favourite for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try the breakfast roti or the chicken curry or soft shell crab for later in the day. Staff friendly and helpful. Atmosphere funky. Cocktails are fun too - try the plum infused whisky.

My friends and I had a great dinner at Tom Phat last week . All the different courses we got were delicious and the wait staff were lovely. Highly recommend the “ Feed Me” option .

Had a fantastic experience at Tom Phat Brunswick. The food was delicious and the team were so friendly and attentive. Our waiter specifically was so welcoming and helped us decide what to order. I would definitely the Xinjiang Lamb, so delicious. Would also recommend the chilli caramel pork belly, it was so good.

We went there for a dinner date. Had not booked a table but were able to find a table in next 5 minutes. Really amazing food & great staff. Will definitely visit this place soon.

Ordered Tom Phat take away over the weekend. Oh boy it was absolutely amazing!

I had the fried chicken, the curry and some roti. The fried chicken was crunchy on the outside and juicy from the inside. The curry had such amazing flavours with so many different ingredients in it. Everything was so good! Will definitely order again!

A place I have avoided mostly because it always looked dodgy and dark from the outside but I'm glad I entered! Two thumbs up for the Duck Spring Rolls and the Soft shell crab! It was out of the world and a wow all across! Though, you do pay what you get.

Takeaway dinner @Tom_Phat for some South East Asian inspired fare. The quality is second to none, I really enjoyed the different dishes.

Roti with Satay Sauce - roti needed a little more cooking in some spots but was very tasty and thoroughly enjoyed with the deep flavours of the satay. Each version differs and this is excellent.

Pad see ew - stir fried soy sauce noodles with egg, greens, and tofu (can opt for a protein). Wow, amazing flavours, spicy, sumptuous. I can see why this is popular.

Rendang beef - they've taken a twist on this by wrapping it in roti. The beef rendang is absolutely fantastic! Melt in your mouth tender beef with a deep flavour that only rendang can offer and the curry is so so flavoursome. The awesome thing about potatoes and curry is that the potatoes are like a sponge and just absorb all that flavour.

Vietnamese Yellow Curry - with braised chicken, root vegetables, coconut, lemongrass and a serve of Jasmine rice. I really enjoyed this, full of flavour, creamy, a spicy, fragrant coconut, with the rice absorbing the flavours.

Faultless everytime I've been. Staff work hard and food is fabulous. Although lighting could be upped a bit to read the menu. Love it though. My favourite in Sydney Rd.

Had my friend's farewell dinner here. Foods were great and the service was friendly. Great fusion foods, love it!
