Sargent's Cakes are the best n Melbourne if not in Oz. The produce is amazing and I have never, ever been disappointed. The sponges, pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches are second to none👍I was raised in Reservoir and each time I make a pilgrimage to Sargent's Cakes it brings back great 1960s nostalgia. I come all the way from Blackburn. The staff are genuinely friendly, something that's missing in many food establishments these days. Keep up the great work👍👍👍

I've lived in reservoir all my life and never got a cake made from Sargent's but I just did for my 30th beside it looking phenomenal and bringing my inspiration to life, I got the raspberry swirl mud and seriously never tasted something so delicious! All my guests were requesting to take some home. I also want to say all the staff that work here are so lovely which makes the whole experience even better. Thank you Sargent's ♥

Amazing pies and sausage rolls. Donuts are fab, staff are always very friendly (even though a couple of them are collingwood supporters 🤣) The sponge cakes are also fantastic, we often get them customized for a special occasion.

This is a Reservoir institution. Been around forever. Been going here since I was a child. Best pies and sausage rolls, world wide. Yep, called it. Personally I only go for pies and sausage rolls but every other menu item seems very popular with the locals. I know I parents buy all their event cakes from there. Staff are also super lovely.

Great, friendly service, terrific mud cakes made to order, personalized for occasion, very enjoyable pies and veg sausage rolls, and very reasonable prices.

I bought a vanilla cake with strawberries here for my daughter's birthday, we was an excellent hostess, thanks to the cake that was delicious, flavor, texture and less sugar.
We all enjoyed it.

Got a beautiful sponge cake for my son's 2nd birthday. It was just right - super light, soft and fresh. Not a crumb left over, even though it was a massive cake! Will be ordering cakes from Sargent's in perpetuity!

Always top quality sweet (and a little of savoury) baked goods. This place is frequently busy, with people from near and not-so-near, coming to get their birthday cakes and cupcakes (one of our favourites). It seems what they don't have, is probably not worth having but there'll always be something that's hard to come by, which someone will expect in Sargent's inventory but not get (that's life). It's not only the variety but also the quality and it will be a very fussy person who turns their nose up at what's on offer. My wife's family has been visiting Sargent's for decades and it's consistently delivered the goods. The hard bit is trying not to over-indulge. Too many items to mention, so it's best to check it out, for yourself. JP

Best Bakery for your event cakes. We ordered a chocolate mud cake, and a white chocolate and raspberry mud cake for my sons birthday parties. They were delicious, perfect texture and highly complimented by all our guests. Thanks Sargent's Cakes, we will definitely be using you guys from now on.

My wife's family has gone here for year and they never disappoint. The dusted sponge with cream and jam is so basic but the best sponge I've had by far.

I use to come here at least twice a week when I was growing up to grab either sausage rolls, donuts or cupcakes. Today a freind popped in and grabbed some goodies, safe to say still the best, beautiful pastry as I remembered! Do yourself a favour and pop in - beautiful, tasty food and such lovely people 😊

Best bakery in Melbourne, probably in Australia. Friendly staff. Best flavour. Super fresh food. Highly recommend their Christmas cake and cream lamingtons.

Spoilt the granddaughters with treat cakes. Love coming here for some of my childhood favourites. Vanilla slice is and cream buns are absolute winners. Today we had cream doughnuts to share, girls loved them
