I wish this place was closer to home because it was such a pleasure working with Sharon and her team on designing my sisters baby shower cake! Never have we received so many compliments on a cake at a party before and we had so many guests asking where we got the cake from! We dressed the cake in flowers ourselves due to picking up the cake a day early but the flavours were on point!

Thank you so much Shaz for our absolutely delicious wedding cake - it was so incredible. All our guests were saying how it was one of the best cakes they have ever had! We loved it so much, we even had some for breakfast the morning after our wedding. You were so easy to deal with - so friendly, personable, and informative - we didn't have to worry about a thing! Delicious tasting wedding cake! Shaz made our white chocolate and raspberry semi-naked cake for our wedding in Daylesford at the Lakehouse - WOW! It tasted amazing - every guest raved about how nice this cake was!

We ordered the wedding cake from Shaz. Our cake had 3 favors, chocolate raspberry coconut, white chocolate and salted caramel. It was the wonderful wedding cake!.

Shaz provided our wedding cake in May. It was such a simple process meeting up for a tasting (which sold us pretty much immediately!) and Shaz really took it from there arranging the delivery etc with our venue in Daylesford with very little more input on our part. As it turns out the cake was a little too good, there was heaps of food including 3 roaming desserts yet the entire bottom tier was eaten on the night and we only had 55 guests! So much for all of the cake boxes we had purchased! Can't wait to start on the top tier for our 6 month anniversary.

Shaz, thank you so much for creating our perfect wedding cake. Our cake was both beautiful to look at and incredibly yummy!! In addition to that you were an absolute hoot and loved the vibe in your kitchen.

Blackbird Cakes are incredible. Down to earth team who take the time to get to know you and design something perfect. We wanted something unconventional and they were so on board. It was great to be able to see examples around the store and taste so many options. We chose a lemon and chocolate/raspberry and it was just delicious. They were able to predict the size we'd need for our wedding perfectly and we had the right amount to satisfy everyone. Being able to connect the team with our florist directly made it so easy to combine fresh flowers with our cake. We were so impressed by the cake, beautiful AND delicious. Highly recommend.

Divine. There is no other word to describe the taste of our wedding cake. We had three layers - Gingerbread Mud, White chocolate and raspberry mud and Chocolate mud. All three were amazing. The actual design was beautiful. So many people walked passed and didn't realise it was the cake - they thought it was part of our book theme. Our guests are still talking about the cake - both in the way of design and taste. Thank you so much.

These are more than just cakes. These are works of art that the recipient will remember for a lifetime. We have been fortunate to use Shaz a number of times for birthdays and special occasions throughout the years - each creation more delicious and visually stunning than the next. As a result my 9 year old had high expectations for a cake for his birthday late last year. He jokingly told Shaz at his consultation that he would like a flying dragon with fighting ninjas underneath - and we all laughed at the utter absurdity of his request and told him to choose something a bit more manageable. So imagine our surprise when Shaz made the impossible - possible, making a 9 year old boys wildest dreams come true. Seeing my son's face at the sight of his cake will be something I will cherish forever. Shaz's passion and talent goes beyond just delicious cake into the realms of magic.

I had a brilliant night at Shaz's Christmas cake decorating class. I got loads of great tips and a wonderful cake to take home that made me look like a total professional. I will be booking again!

Sharon provided a gorgeous cake for our wedding. We had no idea where to start when deciding on a cake, and Sharon helped us through every step - she even gave us instructions on how to cut it! The whole experience from tasting to cutting was a really lovely experience. From our meetings with Sharon and the team we knew that they were so passionate about cakes, but even if we hadn’t met we would have been able to tell this just from the amount of detail and love that went into the cake. Perfect!

It was absolutely amazing not just the taste but the look and detail that went into it was amazing.
Not to mention the cake was gluten free and no one even noticed that's how amazing her work is. Even days later it is still moist and just as good as our wedding day.
Will definitely be using blackbird cakes in the future and referring friends and family.

We ordered our wedding cake from Shaz at Blackbird Cakes. Shaz was amazing. She was really helpful and supportive during our multiple cancellations because of COVID-19. When we finally got to have our wedding, she delivered the most stunning and delicious cake. It was a two-tiered, three flavoured masterpiece. We could not have been happier. We would highly recommend Blackbird cakes and will hopefully get to order from Shaz again in the future.

Shaz and her cakes are amazing. She made a beautiful a 3 tier cake for our wedding and our guests loved it. We bought a cake with 120 serves for our 100 guests but despite the fact we didn't even hand the slices of cakes out, so many people went back to the platters for seconds that we got through the whole thing! I've lost count of the number of guests who told me it was the best wedding cake they'd ever tasted. 10/10!

We had our wedding cake made from Blackbird Cakes! It was to die for! We had 2 tiers: one was coconut and chocolate and the other was lemon and vanilla. I loved both of them but the lemon and vanilla has to be my favourite! Shaz’s cake literally melted in my mouth! So soft, just so very delicious! All of our guests were raving about it and the next day when I went to collect wedding stuff and our cake from the venue, I made sure I sat down with a decent slice of my amazing wedding cake and savoured it to the last crumb!!! Thank you Shaz, you are truly gifted! We would definitely recommend Shaz to all those looking for a world-class wedding cake! And we’ll find an excuse to be back! 😉

Shaz did an amazing job with our wedding cake. The design was absolutely perfect and exactly what we wanted. The hardest part was choosing the flavours as they are all so delicious. Shaz was so helpful and an delight to work with. She worked directly with our florist and with the venue to ensure the cake was ready and waiting for us. Highly recommend.

We ordered our wedding cake from this fantastic business after attending a cake tasting. Our cake was exactly what we had hoped for, it looked and tasted amazing. Delivery was included in the costs and Shaz was lovely throughout the whole process.

Shaz from Blackbird Cakes is so talented and was amazing to work with for our wedding! My mum and I met Shaz in her studio and she went through all the flavours and gave us taste tests and guided us through what would work well for what we wanted.
