Thank god for Razi Zaidi the personal banking consultant at the South Yarra branch. Razi spent an hour with me in branch on the phone to Hsbc UK fraud team assisting with a frustrating issue with my account I have had for the last 3 weeks.
Razi was empathetic and proactive in seeking a resolution, recognising the urgency of my request and providing solutions to his international colleagues. I don’t even have an Australian Hsbc account so his commitment to the global business reputation was above and beyond. Proving there’s really no substitute for speaking with a professional in person.
Thank you Razi, I hope all your customers receive a slice of the service you provided to me today.

Friendly people. Good advice.

Very poor service. They had only 1 person on duty and it takes them an hour to attend you. On top of that HSBC had a money laundering scandal.... I'll try to change banks or move to a Credit Union.

I wish I could give them ZERO STAR. I opened the account and they asked me to come to the branch to verify yourself.

As I live on west side of Melbourne so they don't have any branch close by.

I went all the way to South Yaara just to verify myself and when I reached there there were only 2 x Customers myself and one lady.

One Trainee came to me and checked my passport for verification and purpose and asked me to wait because he was under Training.

Then one lady came out and told me to come tomorrow just to verifi myself. I told her that I have come from West side of Melbourne and cant come tomorrow again and I just need to verify myself.

She said we are busy and you might have to wait 30 mins or more. I dont understand how come they were busy when there was only 2 customers. It means they are so unprofessional that they cant even deal 2 customers in the entire Branch. SHAME ON YOU!

However I am not going to open my account with you guys and I would never recommend anyone to your bank or branch.

They are easily capable of letting you feel a dodgy dealer getting into their bank just to open a "quite normal bank account".

The worst service provided by one of your staff members. I do not recommend this bank.
