Wow what a retreat. Linda and Geoff consider everything you could need for your stay and include some great extras on site to keep you entertained. I spent my birthday here and loved every minute. The yurt is incredible, such a beautiful design and so much thought has been put into the facilities. This is one incredible glamping experience. Highly recommend to anyone who loves camping with style.

My husband and I stayed at the Yurt Retreat for three nights and had the most wonderful time. Every detail was considered at Linda and Geoff were most thoughtful and welcoming.

The walk to the river, swimming, the Aussie bush, the dam and jetty are all beautiful, simple soul restoring experiences. The acknowledgement of traditional owners and the history of the property also touched my heart.

The accomodation itself is clamping at its best. A fully equipped outdoor kitchen, one of the best showers ever! A lovely rustic bathroom, deck, fire and breakfast bar are all well thought out and wonderfully built. The yurt is from a fairy tale. Beautiful, colourful, comfortable and once again, well equipped

One of the things which struck us the most about every part of our stay was the pride and love Linda and Geoff have for the property and the passion for the property , there farming and the thoughtfulness which they have built the retreat.

Thank you for having us and for sharing your farm and District. We will surely come again and recommend others. It was a perfect getaway.

From the time we booked, to the time we arrived and during our awesome stay, Linda and Geoff have been the easiest hosts to deal with. Linda provided my partner and l with plenty of information about places to eat, drink and visit during our stay.

The yurt is very comfortable with a queen size bed and ample room for clothes, footwear, there's a charger for your phone and much more.

If memory serves correct, my wifey and I had this wonderful experience around two years back in April for the Easter break. It was very easy to communicate with the hosts (Linda and Geoff) and they are wonderful people. What an amazing job they have done with the property. I wasn’t sure what to expect but After the experience I know why it could possibly be the ultimate best glamping experience one can have. Every detail was considered, and we basically had everything we needed and more, which I was extremely impressed by. You name it, they had it. I can’t highlight one thing as my favourite because I loved it all. Fully equipped outdoor kitchen, rainwater hot shower, deck with fireplace, wildlife and the yurt itself was so beautiful and dreamy. Absolutely perfect retreat to get away from all the dramas. I can’t emphasis enough what an enjoyable time I had here and will cherish those memories forever.

What an incredibly positive experience. Linda and Geoff have created an incredible Yurt in a beautiful setting and their customer service is as good as I have experienced. I took my bride to the Yurt for our honeymoon and would encourage any groom to do the same. Cannot recommend this more highly.

Absolutely fantastic area, the hosts Linda and Geoff were wonderful and I can clearly see why they are rated superhosts, they ensured we were warm and comfortable for our entire stay, even lighting the fire for us when we could not. Incredibly informative! Would stay again! Thanks Linda and Geoff for a fantastic escape from city life!

We've travelled through Europe, UK, Canada, USA & Australia & stay in Air BnB's everywhere we go. The Yurt would have to be one of the best experiences ever. The setting is just beautiful. The dam with its birds & turtles is so serene. Walks through the Aussie bush, the morning birdsong & the total peace & quiet at night made it something special. Geoff & Linda went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed & went out of their way to ensure my disabled partner felt at home. They are amazing hosts & the Yurt was even better than expected. We'll definitely be back soon! :)

What an amazing piece of paradise. Linda and Geoff are the perfect hosts and have thought of everything you could possibly want for a unique and totally relaxing escape, ensuring that all our needs were catered for but giving us total privacy. Linda has a wealth of knowledge of the local traditional owners and their culture and is passionate about eco tourism. The pontoon was the most amazing setting to watch the stunning sunsets across the dam. The majestic King river is just stroll away and the local area has abundant and delightful birds and wild life. There are many gorgeous wineries and restaurants nearby if you should ever feel the need to venture away from the stunning, luxurious and perfectly replicated Mongolian Yurt. Totally recommend this amazing place.

A weekend stay is not long enough!
A little piece of paradise to enjoy 'glamping' in a beautifully presented Yurt.
A+ for this unique experience!

I’m so glad I’ve found out about this beautiful yurt – perfect for a weekend getaway, buried in pristine nature, with wildlife at our doorstep. We stayed here after an exhausting week, but once we arrived we immediately felt relaxed and full of energy. Linda and Geoff are delightful hosts; they took the extra mile to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They’ve built this amazing, eco-friendly place with great attention to detail, which we can’t wait to go back to.

Linda and Geoff are great hosts, we stayed in the cottage and it was equipped with everything we could have needed. While we didn't have a dog with us , if you were traveling with a pet it would be excellent. A great farm stay!

Putting the glam into camping

Recently
my hubby and I got to spend a night at the Yarranungara Yurt Retreat at Oxley, which is eco-luxury glamping.

I was given a voucher to use there and so before it got too hot we headed out and spent a night under the stars. The owners Linda & Geoff Simpson were waiting when we arrived and took us down to show us how everything worked.

We were staying in a traditional Mongolian Yurt which is set on a private part of their farm near the vineyard and just past a gorgeous dam teaming with birdlife. There is a lovely outside eating area (with all the kitchen utensils required) built out of beautiful red gum timber, rescued from the river flats which you overlook. Geoff also hand built the walkways and ensuite, which has a composting toilet and shower, and there is lighting and a small fridge all powered by solar.

Laying in bed, you can get a view of the stars above from the very comfortable bed and suck in all the gorgeous little touches Linda has so lovingly crafted to make this a welcoming haven.

What a wonderful way to spend a night or a few days close to nature, right in the heart of the Milawa Gourmet Region (we ended up at the pub for dinner), and you could easily cycle to and from Oxley if you felt inclined.

Thanks Linda & Geoff - what amazing hosts!!

Such a lovely experience! I recommend everyone to spend a night there: gazing the stars in front of the wood stove, taking a shower admiring the nature and de-connecting from their everyday life. So resourcing!
