Clean well appointed rooms with your own adjacent car spot, lovely gardens and swimming pool to relax around.
Terrific quiet location within easy walking distance of main street and short drives to nearby towns.
Have stayed here 3 times over the past 13 months. Every time was a pleasure with the owners Olivia and Adrian extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful.

We only had one night here unfortunately, but could have stayed longer! It was so peaceful, beautifully set in a lovely garden. The room was nicely laid out and very comfortable. Olivia had put lovely fresh scented roses in our room which was a thoughtful personal touch. Maldon was a fascinating town and we would have liked to explore further if we had more time.

Stayed at Maldon around 12 months ago with our Sandringham Walking Group and were so impressed we returned this year.
Terrific place to stay for a group with lovely gardens, several long tables for dinners together and a well maintained swimming pool.
Owners Olivia and Adrian provided fantastic catered buffet dinners with all cutlery and plates supplied. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them.

Wonderful place to stay. Everything recently refurbished, with lovely rooms and nice touches like plants in the bathroom. The garden outside the rooms is beautiful and a very calm place to sit and soak up the day. Maldon is a lovely town, and this place is a fabulous base to explore the region. Host is very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again next time I visit the region.

We loved every moment of our stay at this charming motel. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, with a warm welcome and genuine hospitality. The accommodation was impeccably clean and exuded a cozy charm. Every detail was carefully considered, from the comfortable bed to the thoughtful amenities and decorative touches. To top off the fabulous experience, the motel is located in enchanting beautiful gardens. We can't wait to go back.

Spent 3 nights here for a family wedding. We had a fabulous stay, owners were so hospitable and accommodating. Would book again if travelling to Maldon. Very highly recommend.

Can’t recommend this Motel highly enough,the owners have done an outstanding job taking this place to the next level.The rooms are spotless the location is peaceful and it’s only a short stroll into town and they can’t do enough for you,the focus on customer satisfaction is second to none.Thanks heaps we will see you again very soon.

Just spent a week here and couldn't say enough about how perfect it was.
If you are going anywhere near Maldon for whatever reason this is the place to stay.
The owners and their little doggies are so lovely and Adrian even helped me rig my fishing lines.
The Main street is a 3 mn walk away and the train to Castlemaine the same.
If you're looking for a little relaxing place still close enough to Bendigo or other bigger towns trust me you won't regret it.

Came down for the goldfields gothic festival over the weekend and the owners were amazingly accommodating and understanding absolutely lovely people location is a short walk to the main street, the rooms were so clean and functional very cozy and comfortable bed. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. We will be back!

We recently stayed and had a wonderful time visiting Maldon. It can really make a difference when you have such a beautiful place to stay. Motel is very comfortable and the surroundings are peaceful. We stayed for 3 nights, however it feels like we have been away for a week. As it was quite hot it was really good to have aircon that was more than adequate. Yep the bed is as comfortable as the photos look with beautiful linen etc. and it has good water pressure in the shower also. This is a neat, tidy and clean Motel that Olivia and Adrian look after very well. If you get enough time go for a swim as pool and surrounds are very nice. Maldon itself is a great little town with a fantastic Bakery, beautiful shops, a lolly shop and an excellent Hotel with very good and well priced meals along with nice people. We will be back to visit soon.

I stayed here recently for work - the owners were absolutely lovely and helpful, making sure we knew how to use the barbecue and Adrian would set up the fire pit for us in the evenings. I especially enjoyed the garden/courtyard during the morning.

Some kind of dish washing/sink facility in the barbecue area would be a great addition for dishes.

Lovely comfy rooms, very clean. Adrian & Olivia were friendly, it felt so relaxing sitting out in the gardens, choosing one of the charming settings. We hope to stay another time.We had a great 4 nights last week in January 2023.The Sutherlands.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful garden setting. The rooms are well appointed with old world charm which really fits with the heritage feel of Maldon. Whilst some places with 'heritage atmosphere' can be tacky and run down, Motel Maldon glistens with the loving care of new owners Olivia and Adrian. Gorgeous place. Will definitely be revisiting.

I stayed for one cold winter night in a double room . The room was cosy, well equipped, nice quality linen and towels. The bathroom was modern and spacious. One entrance to parking area, another door to a little porch and a pretty courtyard garden.

We stayed in this absolutely charming motel with friends for a weekend. The rooms are immaculate, beautifully appointed with lovely attention to detail. Great heating, we were snug. There is a pool and much to our delight the owners were happy for us to have a little cold dip in the morning – water was crystal clear. The surrounding gardens and courtyard are just lovely; all the rooms open out to this communal area. It just feels like a tranquil little oasis. Lots to do in Maldon itself (all within 5 min walk) with fantastic cafes and restaurants (we dined out twice). Castlemaine is only 15 mins or so away, with markets, Botanic gardens and lots of other attractions. Cost was so reasonable, great value and Oliva and Adrian could not have been more accommodating or gracious. We will definitely be returning

Hotel Maldon is a rare gem, unlike most hotels it is set in quiet and peaceful surroundings, there are beautiful gardens and cool shade to relax under. The rooms have nice old world decor and are cool and quiet. Olivia and Adrian are wonderful hosts and I am looking forward to my next stay.

This place is awesome! My whole family and I stayed for dads 60th birthday and the rooms, service and hospitality were perfect. Rooms are super clean, tidy, well presented and very comfortable! There’s a great outdoor seating area with heating for those cold nights if you want to sit out with the family and have a drink etc. The owner Adrian and his wife are lovely people and go that extra mile to make you feel comfortable and happy, and their customer service was impeccable 👌🏻 Would definitely recommend the Maldon motel to anyone staying in the area, and we will definitely be back when we are back up this way from Melbourne. Adrian thanks again for your hospitality! 5 stars all day.
