Bishop's Silkwood Butchery & The Butcher’s Wife’s Cafe

Drove past and saw the pie sign and I was pleasantly suprised from the meat selection. The butcher out the back said that he’s got the best beef and pork sausages, I took it with a grain of salt but they really were the best sausages in the area!!! Not to mention the pies which had more meat than pie. That’s a tick in my books. All the meat is locally sourced and slaughtered in house which is great.

Visited this lovely place today and got the pleasure of meeting the butcher and butcher's wife. I might not know much from being from out of town, but I do know that the coffee I got was one of the most delicious and creamiest coffees I have ever had. Thanks again Kendell!

Came in Saturday morning for a whole rump. Advised to go for the slightly higher priced option and I tell you it was well worth it! Lovely tender juicy meat and the customer service was excellent. Will be back! 😇

So happy to find this butcher! These guys go above and beyond. Happy cows raised in their natural environment within a short drive. This is the kind of operation all butchers should aspire to. You have me as a customer for life.

Ok, so I drive down last Tuesday and pickup 6 rib eye fillets bone in and 2 kg of chicken snitzels. I never say best ever, but I will say the steaks and chicken made my other list of favourite 3!! David told me "they are like butter" well yes they are. You will pay $39/kg at supermarkets, and yes they are good but travelled miles and are cryovaced for long life.

These were almost half price and travelled only 2km max from paddock to shop! I love little town providers. Get out and give them a go! Am I going back? For sure and so are some mates...

Amazing coffee, lovliest of owners and a fantastic (from their paddock, their abattoirs and their butcher shop) selection of finest meats. Heads up the thick italian sausages are amazing!!! A must stop and stock up shop!

Great range of meat, beef from their own farm just up the road. Cheap compared to the supermarkets. They even had specials. They have discounts on variety packs & 2kg lots. Their rump & rib fillet looked amazing. Rump was $27.99. Shame I don't live local, but I bought up big.
