We have stayed here a number of times and found our latest stay this weekend the absolute best yet! This stay from booking, arriving and checking out was 10/10. Arni at the front reception was so helpful to any of our queries and we had! We can't wait to come back we had the best time and the room was extremely comfortable.
Thanks for a great stay! We will be back.

Enjoyed our stay here very much. We were upgraded to a significantly better room for a bargain price, and our room was great. Nice views from the balcony, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and sofa. 2 slight downsides were that the bathroom was a little dark and the exhaust fan not very powerful, and there was no baking tray for the oven, but other than that the building and room were well looked after and in a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We needed to be across the road the next morning so wanted a place to stay that was convenient. If we wanted to hang out in the city it wasn’t a bad option because there were plenty of trams that took us up there within 20 or so minutes. The place itself was clean and neat and had all the essentials. Our room was on the top floor and faced the main highway where outside was still audible, would recommend getting a room facing away from the highway. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast included was very average but for the price of the bed and breakfast it is value. It is also walking distance to Albert Park which affords a very nice view of the Melbourne skyline. Walk a little further and you will find The Formula 1 race track.

Lovely staff!! Both at reception and in the restaurant down stairs. I stayed here for 2 weeks and experienced fantastic customer service each day!! Location is great!! Very short tram ride to city, to st Kilda beach or you can even walk to chapel Street. The street itself is quiet but beautiful. Didn't have much of a view from my balcony, thats probably that only small fault I can make.

Comfortable and clean with great access to transport and other facilities. Restaurant at the bottom is very expensive so it's best to head out for food but make sure you do it early because there's not a great deal of food nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and quite spacious. Staff are friendly. Included amenities are comprehensive. There is next to no parking. And you'll get a parking ticket if you leave your car overnight on any of the surrounding streets.

Lovely boutique-ish hotel with easy access to lots of transport and in a good position. Well priced rooms and professional staff make for a comfortable stay. Dual key rooms were laid out well and provided all we needed, the 5 star energy rating was a nice touch too.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment last night with a few of my friends, the staff were very helpful in upgrading our apartment to accommodate more people, and were helpful with checking in our friends when we weren't there. They also left a card and a bottle of wine in the hotel when we arrived back later that night for my birthday which was super sweet. Thankyou so much for making my birthday wonderful

Great hotel, convenient position right on the tram line. Plenty of free street parking nearby on the weekends, but only 2hr parking on weekdays. Minimal customer parking underground. The restaurant is quite expensive but is good quality.

Great cafe right next door and plenty of stuff to do in the area.

Stayed for one night and had a lovely rest. Facilities are excellent, very clean and well presented. The breakfast was the nicest I have tasted in a long time. Highly recommend staying here.

I stayed here for the better part of 6 months on a work assignment. The room was as stated, everything was clean and the front desk staff was always nice and attentive. The personnel was actually the reason I kept coming back.

This is a great stay if your looking for a classic, classy, and CHEAP way to go. Also only a 3 minute walk away from the metro. This hotel offers a 5 star experience certain to enhance your great stay in Melbourne.

Absolutely delightful staff. The hotel is themed around Hollywood glamour, and while a bit worse for wear, it is very clean, functional, and convenient.

Wheelchair accessible rooms are available, as is an on-site hot buffet breakfast. Staff were very accommodating of both my wheelchair and my Assistance Dog, and Fawkner Park is only one block up with an extensive (unfenced) dog off-leash area.

There is a uneven tram stop almost directly outside the hotel with regular trams into the city, or you can head about a block towards the city for a step free access tram station. Note most of the trams between the city and St Kilda are old models so you may have to wait 20 minutes for a step free tram.

Check the prices of the booking directly before you use a booking site, I got a substantial discount and a few perks by booking direct through Mantra.

A massive thank you to Andrew Walling and all the staff at the Mantra. Nothing was every too much to do or to handle. Always a smile! You were our soft landing away from the hospital and for that we thank you. I will always recommend you and Chris and I will never forget you. Stay safe!

Loved it here. Fell in love with the glamorous foyer. The staff went out of their way to find us an available room when we got there super early. We were so tired and grateful. Close to transport to get anywhere!

The view of the park was lovely. If I peered around the side of the balcony, I could even see the bay which was beautiful. The decor was modern and clean and the cafe downstairs, although quiet, was a nice place to sit on a weekend morning and watche the bustle of st kilda rd go by. The parking nearby is difficult and a little annoying however free on the weekend which is a plus. If you don't have a car, there are plenty of trams and about a 10 minute ride to all south bank has to offer.

I stayed overnight for business trip. At first I got 1 bedroom apartment, however the aircon was only in living room. And this time of the year when it's really hot I need aircon in bedroom. So the stuff was really helpful to move me to studio room. The studio room is big, bed was comfy, it has a microwave, fridge and kettle. Bathroom is relatively big. Restaurant under the hotel is close at 10. So if you want to have late night snacks or drinks you have to get them before they close. There is 7 eleven 2-3 blocks away.

Lovely staff, very welcoming.
We are here to see a family member at the Alfred Hospital. The Mantra gave us the "Alfred" special rate to help out.
Just a 4 minute walk , depending on the traffic lights and crossing the sometimes busy St Kilda Road.
Behind the Mantra, about a 4 minute walk also is Albert Park. Home of the Australian Grand Prix, Albert Park has a large lake with many sports centres surrounding it. The lake has a 5km walking track along its bank and allows for either a walk to chill out a little or a jog or run to keep your fitness up.
There are many cafe's nearby a small supermarket for supplies and a tram stop nearby too.

Came here after a terrible Airbnb experience and was everything we needed. Beautiful decor, spotlessly clean room, bed as soft as a cloud and the service was great.
