IGA Local Grocer Chevron (Melbourne)

This small store has a surprisingly wide selection and is excellent when I’ve run out of something. Very handy location for area residents. Fong (and Hong) are a great team and I’ll miss her friendly nature since I’m moving away.

Very good range for a glorified convenience store. Some products, like cereal, are price matched with the big supermarkets. Could have a better range of bread.

Great mini market with varieties and necessities, very convenient for locals. Open 7 days and prices are reasonable. Running by friendly people.

A conveniently placed IGA, right outside the Chevron apartments. Well stocked and maintained, the staff are friendly and the prices are sometimes more cost effective than the bigger supermarkets (safeway, coles etc), but most of the time, you're paying for the convenience. Its walking distance from the Alfred and Fawkner Park. I visit IGA whenever I need some quick items.

I've been shopping here for a couple of years now. The newest owners are very warm and friendly people, and checkout is always super quick. There's a surprisingly large range for the size of the shop, and there are often some great discounts, but it's obviously a bit more expensive than Coles/Woolies etc overall. Ideal for smaller/mid-size shops. Love the melon+strawberry trays.

Really nice little store with a bunch of nice owners, the only thing I'd say letting it down is parking, I used to have to park in the hospital laneway to do them sometimes but other than that never had a problem delivering here
