Templin Historical Village

We spent around 1.5hrs here today. This historic village is very well maintained. It was clean, tidy and had very helpful volunteers to guide us around and provide lots of information. My favourite part was the old classroom and teacher's quarters. There were many different artefacts to look at though, such as fashion, milking, RRAF, hospital, machinery, etc. Was great to explore local history.

A wonderful historic village in a nice setting with buildings, machinery and memorabilia from around the Scenic Rim. Open mainly on Sundays mostly and well worth a visit.

The village is well laid out and the informative guide takes you from one building to the next without any doubling back. There are interesting stories about people and events from the local past. It took us a little over 2 hours to see everything.

A small but full of history museum. They've done a Landmark showing their Madame Weigg pattern/clothes display. A pioneer lady born in the late 19th century.

Nice to see old things getting a new life.

All the staff were super friendly. We arrived half an hour before the opening time, and we were very grateful the lady let us in without waiting in the cold. We were given demonstrations of different items / machineries on site. They have a large collection of 'fashion' (around 5 thousand) and mostly kept in storage, but go on rotation for displays. Great for families. Get to see lots of items I used when I was a kid.

Anyone that loves history I recommend to see this place. Nice presentation, the people friendly just saw your children. Was it like back in the old days compare today? Is this something I recommend to anyone he’s got children it’s also like being in the old days now right now compare today life easy

So much to see. There is something for everyone. Very interesting . The volunteers are very knowledgeable and informative.

After volunteering at Templin for near 30 years, it is a magic place. Nestled in the Scenic Rim Queensland. 10 acres of park and 17 buildings.

Fascinating record of social history and a wonderful record of Madame Weiger's patterns and clothes created for and by everyday people.

Great historical village run entirely by volunteers with no government or council funding. Welcoming and knowledgeable people. Highly recommended.

An amazing local museum and historical site. Highly recommend visiting on a Sunday or one of the open days to learn the history of the area.
