Petes Campground

Pete and Pam were wonderful hosts who met us at the campsite (a very short drive from town). $20 / night for an unpowered spot. Clean amenities with nice hot showers, big camp kitchen with lounge area, pet friendly, potable water available, power available, fire pits allowed. Pete even helped us locate an unused fire pit and kindly offered us free fire wood. Beautiful sunset to top it all off! Highly recommend if you enjoy being away from the crowds. Public dump point conveniently located approx 2kms away. Thanks Pete and Pam - we will definitely return!

Great campground on top of a hill. There is plenty of place to set up a camp. thanks to a 360 degrees view, you can enjoy gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. Kangaroos and many others animals are also around every day ! Peter and Pam are helpfull and will help you to get a job. They are no contractors.

We just had 2 of the most relaxing nights at Petes Campground. The views of Gayndah land, gorgeous sunsets, mountains and hills galore, very clean amenities, hot showers; there is nothing not to love here. Pete is very friendly and hospitable and a down to earth good bloke. My favourite (it's hard to choose) were Petes cows, calves and his sweet old horse Princess. The fog across Gayndah was a treat to wake up to also. Thanks so much Pete for the delicious citrus, we will be back very soon. Glenn and Melody 😁

Best and cheapest campground in Gayndah!
They let you pick your spot, have free wifi, hot showers and incredible veiws. I loved watching the sunsets in all directions and stargazing at night, after work.
The owners are lovely and can help backpackers find picking and packing jobs.

Followed the little blue camp sign , ended up at the ground no problem.
What a fantastic place views on views. Pete is a great down to earth bloke.
Clean facilities hot showers town water.
Could not fault this place .
5 min back to town for any supplies.

Amenities blocs are clean, nice hot showers. Laundry machine available for cheap. Best spot in Gayndah for enjoying the sunsets! Thanks Pete and Pam!

Like living on a country property. Views, camp kitchen and facilities great. Value for money. Shower and toilets clean and tidy. 3km from town

Best Camping in town! It's on top of a hill so you will have amazing views from everywhere in the camp. Hot showers and toilets all very clean. There are fridges and a nice kitchen area under a big shed. Peter and Pam are the best, super friendly and helpful.

Can not complain. 360 degree views, hot showers and very clean. Camp kitchen looks like it has everything you would need. We didn't use it. Park up and enjoy the view, sunset, stars and sunrise. Very relaxing. Not crowded.

Friendly host Pete showed us around and lent us an extension cord for power. The camp is 2km out of Gayndah QLD on top of a hill with 360 views. Dog friendly, powered and unpowered sites, hot water shower with good pressure and clean amenities. This makes this peaceful location a good choice. But reception isn't good.

Beautiful camping spot....gorgeous views, clean amenities, camp kitchen. Pete was a great host, very welcoming. $25 powered site. Gayndah is a lovely friendly town. We'll be back.
