Farmers Arms Hotel Daylesford

Great food and service. I was staying across the road at Art Motel and dropped in on my last night for dinner. Great service from the moment you walk through the door. The dining room decor is lovely and the food and local wine were delicious. I am from Sydney but could see they look after the locals as well which is important. Highly recommend dropping by.

Can't rate this place highly enough. Booked a table before we left Melbourne; just as well cos the place was busy. We both had the pork belly; best had for a long time. Food was awesome & served in a short time from ordering. Good selection of drinks, great staff. Son dropped us off & we to call him when we finished. Our cell phones were out of rang so bar staff called son for us- can't get better than that!!!

Barmen very friendly and welcoming. Wait staff efficient and attentive without being intrusive. Beautiful food. Fillet minion beautifully cooked and tender and tasty. I’m fussy about my beef and this was spot on. My partner had the pork belly and the bit that I tasted was absolutely divine. It melted in my mouth and the flavour was exquisite. And the drinks were lovely. Well done to the whole team. A really lovely experience. 11 out of 10. 🥰

We were blown away with the food at the farmers arms, very tasty and fresh, so much flavour definitely one to remember! The staff were so polite and nice, they let us sit in the courtyard with our whippet and gave her lots of love! would definitely come here again 11/10 thanks for great service and beautiful food

Incredible food and service. Wait staff were swift and attentive, constantly filling glasses and ensuring guests were served in a timely manner.

The food was amazing! I had the pork belly. Crispy, juicy amd falling apart. The potatoes was melt in your moth creamy.
I also had the strawberry cheesecake. WOW. Perfect balance of bite and sweetness, so creamy and smooth.
This was the best meal I had during this stay in Dayelsford.
Such affordability for the freshness and quality of this meal.

Farmers Arms Hotel in Daylesford is a great place for lunch or dinner. I had the pork belly which was delicious. Service is excellent, very friendly staff. The restaurant has an intimate and romantic ambience at night. As it is very popular with both locals and tourists, reservations are a must.

Do yourself a favour of you're heading to Daylesford. Doesn't matter if your staying or passing through, in fact even if you weren't going to Daylesford, you should go to the Farmer's Arms.
Absolutely delicious food (I wanted to try everything on the menu), fantastic cocktails, and some of the best service I've seen in a long time.
By far this is now one of my favourite spots in Victoria.

We absolutely loved the food here, and found some dishes and cocktails that were quite unique.

Everything was fresh and flavourful, and the serves were generous.

The staff all appeared genuinely friendly and happy, not just when they were attending to customers.

The pub - We ate outside in the courtyard, which is dog friendly, a lovely setting for a relaxing lunch. The staff were all polite, patient and helpful and the food was amazing 10/10. Had a perfect lunch here.

Had at 830pm booking but arrived at 630pm by accident and they managed to fit us in by 7pm. Thank you to the staff for that!

Beef Tartare - more a herb-y taste, bit on the saltier side but very lovely

Venison pot pie - very good + flakey buttery crust

eye fillet mignon - potato mash carried the dish

mushroom pate - big portion, very light, 10/10, the biscuit for it was a little hard and might cut your gums a little :c

Wonderful Kiwi waitress, she was so attentive. She engaged so well with us and our 6 month old son. He absolutely loved her. Nice to be warmly welcomed as a young family and accommodated with ease. The food was divine, bread and butter was freshly made and so good. Delicious oysters and generous charcuterie. Our Pork Belly for mains were cooked perfectly, with crispy crackling. Couldn’t be more impressed!

One of the best steaks you’ll ever have! We always love coming here when in town and the food and service is outstanding. It was also incredibly generous of you to host Serge’s wake on Thursday - it was a lovely farewell to a much loved man.

We spent an afternoon into evening here, with drinks in the bar and then dinner. It's a lovely space with really welcoming staff. We had a gorgeous bottle of Pinot, and both the lamb and venison pot pie were delicious. We even won a raffle prize which was a lovely surprise ☺

Our family travelled to Daylesford from Melbourne. The first meal we had at Daylesford was at the Farmers Arms Hotel. We absolutely loved every staff and everything here. The staff were really kind and considerate, they went above and beyond. Well done team.

Such a fabulous eating experience in both winter AND summer, very welcoming and interesting interior design…but unlike many austere pub fitouts these days, it is both luxe and homely. Great staff, fab food. A great place for all people and all occasions. Highly recommend

A fantastic dining experience.

Two of us had drinks in the courtyard, a magnificent 2 course meal in the dining room and digestives in the bar.

Our starters of haloumi and beetroot terrine were excellent. Good portions too. (We also ordered bread & butter that we assumed would come first but this was delivered with the starters).

Our mains were fillet mignon and pork belly alongside a delicious witlof & blackberry salad. All were magnificent but we could not finish them. We wished we had not had the starters.

Wait staff were mostly not very knowledgeable on the wine however our selections were aided by a very nice lady who helped us pick a sensational local chardy (Musk Lane 2021) and a Spanish red. Both were great and they kindly re-corked them for us so we could take the remains of each bottle with us.

It seemed that the kitchen team were in quite a hurry to knock off? Our food came VERY quickly. After pointing out that we would like to take our time a bit more, our mains also arrived quite rapidly. The fast pace would be our only (minor) element of dissatisfaction.

All in all, highly recommended. Be sure to bring a big appetite!
