Beautiful place to relax, BBQ and enjoy. Less crowded. Plenty of parking.

One BBQ (gas) in working condition.

Toilet 🚻 including wheelchair ♿ access.

Nice view of the lake. Great stopping point.

Nice Picknick area. Majestic trees. Interesting birds making sounds we hadn't heard in Europe. Unable to share further picture as it's beyond the timeline of 24hours.

We were the only ones there nice shady BBQ area with long drop which were a bit run down still nice place for lunch

Enjoyed breathing in the fresh air and observing the scenery...
Will have to pack a picnic basket and check out/make use of the picnic area - reputation has it that it is quite a nice spot, family friendly

About Marrinup
Town in Australia

Marrinup is a ghost town in the Peel region of Western Australia between Dwellingup and Pinjarra. Its local government area is the Shire of Murray. The town was destroyed in the 1961 bushfires and the townsite is now used as a campground. The ruins of the townsite are heritage listed. Little remains of the town other than an old bridge over Marrinup Creek and some wooden railway sleepers. The campsite features toilets, tables and barbeques. A 4.5 km walk trail from the townsite to the remains of an defunct Prisoner of War camp. source
