Delicious food. Friendly owner and staff. It was pretty busy but Service was still quick. Didn't get that excess salt feeling after eating pizza that I always do. Highly recommend 😀

Incredible pizza and lovely staff. A spelling mistake on the wall next to us was annoyingly all I could notice once I spotted it but it could all be forgiven at the taste of that pizza! Highly recommend.

Best pizza in the Northcote/Thornbury area. And probably further than that too.
And covid hasn't changed that one little bit!
You can get now prepared pizzas ready for the oven, they take 6-7 minutes in the oven and taste mint!!

Absolutely delicious... at around 2 minutes my kitchen was filled by a mouth watering aroma... by 4 minutes pizza was ready ... we all waited in anticipation... perfectly cooked on the top as well as the bottom pizza just melted in the mouth awakening senses so appetising.... You won't find a better slice of roman Pizza in Melbourne, just like being back in Rome, and Frank and the team are legends.

Absolutely love the Roman style pizza, especially the Friarelli. Definitely the best pizza I have had in Melbourne for some time. The owner is super friendly and chatty. Only wish they were open more often and also for dine-in, would love to be able to take some friends and family.

Pizza is super. Flaky, fluffy dough yet still light. They do roman style pizzas which essentially is a pre cooked pizza and sold by the slice. Ordered 4 different flavours and all were amazing. Having travelled to Rome for a month and tried pizza from different restaurants everyday without fail, this restaurant is on par if not better. Place deserves more love. Did not meet the owner however staff were super friendly.

The best roman square Pizzas in town. Staff are awesome, and the Pizzas are even better. Great flavour combos with soft and pillowy dough plus a solid crunch at the base. Cheers @ilpizzaiolo for the awesome bite, hope to see you guys in Sydney asap lol

This pizza is... Wow! We ordered a variety half tray and tried the Ortolana, Funghi, Diavola and Friarielli. I'm not sure if we've ever tasted pizza this good. Everything left us wanting more! The vegetarian options were excellent and gave my partner plenty to choose from. We'll definitely be returning for more Friday night takeaways!

Had pizza from here last week, loved it so much I wanted it again this weekend. I went last night and noticed that the lights were on, but blinds were down so not sure if it was closed. I opened the door. They were closed for a private function. I apologised and was about to leave. The the owner Frank asked me what I wanted and served me some pizza that he had prepared for his family. I was so humbled, it was like being served food from the family dinner table. Felt very welcomed. Pizza was amazing and as my son said, tastes home made, alla casalinga. Beautiful pizza by a beautiful man, the passion you have for food reflects in your pizza. Buono & Grazie.

This is the real deal pizza. Don't bother with second rate, below par mass produced pizza covered in shredded ham. These are sublime! I'm so happy there is an authentic pizza restaurant in this post of town. I've only had take away pizza so far, but from the outside, looks like a brilliant place to meet people for a lively meal. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Careers to gluten free and vegan too!

The pizza here is simply the best I've ever had. The Margherita here is so simple yet delicious.
I've always had a warm greeting and friendly service here.
It can be very busy and a little noisy when there are large groups, but that's forgivable when the pizza is as good as it is.

We, a party of 2, rocked up on a Saturday night without a booking. Even though they were busy, they still managed to accommodate us. Great service, and a beautiful ambience.
The pizza was a tad soggy perhaps due to the buffalo mozzarella content? Happily dine there again.

Best pizza ever!! The hardest part is deciding which one to order and how many to stop at!!
Ingredients are of the best quality and always fresh, service is excellent and all in a very central location.
You must try the Bomboloni donuts, they're delicious with the white chocolate or Nutella.

il Pizzaiolo has become our favourite pizza place. If you have never tried Roman style pizza, you have to. Every mouthful is divine - I get cravings for it.

First time coming here and Pizza is top notch 10/10. The Funghi was incredible.
Frank is also a legend and will definitely be returning!

Haven't had pizza this good in a long time. The service was quick and friendly. The pizza itself was delicious with a perfectly-cooked crust and just enough toppings to be flavoursome without being overbearing. There are lots of options on the menu to choose from, including a nutella dessert calzone which should definitely be on your list.
