Strathfield Family Medical Centre

I have only seen Dr Peter Alexakis over many years. I have no experience with any other GPs here. He is highly professional and does the right treatment for his patients optimising the tests, medicines and the time to cure. I have to wait long some days. But, he has been practicing so long and hence it is understandable his loyal patients are happy to wait for him.

On the weekend, told me just walk in, appreciate to see me!

Because of walk in, I was waiting for a while, in the between they saw 2 exisiting patients who is walked in behind me that casing me waited another 30mins , it feel very annoyed because I was in pain , if anyone wants to come in this medical centre as walk in patient please ask receptionist how many patient in front of you .I gave 5 star because they see me on the weekend and appreciate Dr.

Our extended family doctor has been Dr Peter of this practice for over 10 years. Family members range from grandparents to babies. Our experience with this practice has been great. We are impressed with the doctor-patient relationship and the professionalism of Dr Peter. We have no reason to believe that other doctors at the practice are any different.
It is true that sometimes the receptionists may be rather short on explanations but generally they are good.
The facilities may not be equivalent to the Ritz hotel but they are clean and pleasant even though space may be limited.
At the end of the day, the critical thing for us is not the size of the waiting room, nor the admittedly long wait to see the doctor, and not even the attitude of a receptionist on a busy day at the practice.
The critical and only concern, is that our family is being treated by a safe pair of hands by a professional first class doctor who makes you feel that he is caring for you as a member of his own family.
What more can we ask or even hope for? We take our hats off for Dr Peter and this practice. We are lucky to have such a wonderful doctor and are more than happy to sit in a small waiting room for an hour to see him.

I have been going to this surgery for over 25 years. The waiting area is a little small but the service is generally very good. Most times the receptionists are very pleasant but when you listen to some of the rude patients and disturbed people they deal with you it is not a surprise they may be a little upset sometimes. Try being pleasant to them and they will be the same to you. I have found them to be very ethical compared to a number of other dodgy doctors who are there to rip off the Medicare system without really caring anything for your health and well being.

The receptionists here r quite friendly and Dr Hauser is a competent and ethical doctor. There is generally a wait even if u book ahead but shes definitely worth the wait. She has gone above and beyond her duties for me as a patient many times. Highly recommend her.

I'm a long-term patient at this practice and want to clarify some misunderstandings in other comments. The reason for the turnover in some of the doctors is that it's a standard part of their GP training to cycle through several medical practices. All those doctors are fully trained but they need real life experience with people like us and monitoring etc. by the main doctors here. I've had amazingly good experiences with the three main doctors and all the receptionists have been great, as have the new GPs. People also need to realise that sometimes there are emergency patients who need longer time or the doctors must make phone calls for urgent hospital admissions etc. I have a condition that is highly under-diagnosed and was missed by previous doctors all my life until recently. Yet two of the main two doctors here are familiar with it! To me this is worth the long wait, but you can minimise this by asking the receptionist about the least busy times.

The waiting area and doctors' rooms are quite cramped but both the ladies in the reception and doctors are very professional and friendly. It is true that sometimes waiting times are long but i've found that's the case in most of busy surgeries. It's best to make an appointment online or by phone.

Got my Pfizer vaccine here with Dr Mina. He was very nice and explained everything thoroughly. He and the reception staff were very warm and made me feel very comfortable. Thank you!

Waiting time can be long but it is free healthcare after all. I’m happy to wait for a doctor who values ethical patient care and go in knowing they genuinely care for your well-being. Thank you Dr. Hauser.

I always come here at least 5 times a year due to im sick so often. The doctor is very kind and treat me so well. The reception never smile but that’s not a problem. I still go there anyway.

I've had a host of doctors here and found them all to be helpful and courteous. No problem and booking an appointment is recommended since wait times can be long

Good doctors and receiption staff. Professional , kind and very helpful. Its in center of strathfield and opp plaza with parking so crowds and waiting time is understood.

The staff in the clinic are so polite and helpful the doctos are amazing

A bit of a wait.....but GPs are good here.
